Why am I getting this prompt? How do I resolve this issue?
Thank you for your interest in displaying PayPal Pay Later messaging. Pay Later is only available for eligible merchants in the US, CA, UK, AU, DE, FR, IT, and ES.
Is the PayPal account used to login to the app based in one of the regions? If yes, the eligibility issue may be stemming from “Automatic Payments” enabled for your PayPal account. You can check this in Shopify -> Settings -> Payments -> PayPal.
Automatic Payments are typically enabled when using apps like:
- Subscription apps
- Upsell apps
To offer Pay Later and display Pay Later messaging:
- Disable any subscription or upsell apps
- Once disabled, reach back out for steps on how activate messaging through our dedicated app
