This is a good app and it does correctly handle VAT at checkout. However, the VAT exemption logic is applied to the entire store, with no option to select which individual products are eligible for VAT relief and which are not.
For medical equipment retailers, this is a significant limitation, as not all medical products qualify for VAT exemption. The lack of product-level eligibility control makes compliance more difficult and introduces unnecessary friction for customers.
In addition, the exemption process could be simplified with a simple declaration tick box instead of requiring customers to complete a full form.
Overall, this is currently the best tax exemption app available, but it would benefit greatly from product-level VAT eligibility settings so that the exemption form only appears for qualifying items.
