As an example: if you are subscribing to the Lite Plan ($10 / month), you will be able to send up to 220 SMS per month to the USA, or around 125 SMS per month to the United Kingdom.
We have many different plans. By subscribing to any of the paid plans, you will have the equivalent amount of credits (for instance, subscribing to the Lite Plan will give you $10 worth of credits per month).
If you have consumed all your credit, you will not be able to send an SMS until the next payment period. In order to avoid that inconvenience, you can simply upgrade your subscription, so you get more credits. Don't worry; we'll automatically send you reminder emails when you reach 70% and 90% of your monthly usage!
If you do not consume all the credits in your plan by the end of the monthly period, the unused credits are lost, and your new credits are automatically reset to your monthly usage.
We use the leading provider in the SMS market to send your messages. However, countries tend to be very strict when it comes to automatic SMS. Therefore, here are a few tips you should follow when defining the content of your messages:

However, before knowing that the SMS has not reached your customer, we still need to send the SMS first and pay for the transfer costs. That's why you are charged for such messages.
A sender ID is a customizable, short alphanumerical name (up to 11 characters) that appears as the sender name of your messages. It is useful to make your messages more easily identifiable by your customers.
Unfortunately, some countries (United States, Canada, India...) do not accept custom sender ID. In United States and Canada, sender ID is automatically replaced by a local phone number. For other countries that do not support it, it is overwritten by a short, generic name to help improve deliverability (like "NOTICE").
Sender ID is supported in most European countries.
An SMS written in standard English is a 160 character message, and we highly encourage you to keep your messages short and direct (this can also improve deliverability).
However, if your messages end up being longer than that, we can still deliver them without any issues (but please note that some countries may decide to block long messages).

Yes. Our application fully supports messages written in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, and many other non-romance languages.
A single SMS can contain up to 160 characters. However, due to how SMS works, if you are using some accented characters (like ö, å, etc.) or non-romance characters (Chinese, Hebrew, Arabic, etc.), a single SMS can only contain up to 70 characters.
Most French accented characters fit into the 160 character bucket.
If a message is longer than that, we will need to split the message into multiple SMS, and you will be charged for each one (each additional SMS after the first one for a given message will consume less credits, though).
Recently, Shopify introduced a new way for customers to checkout, using their phone number only (without any email address). When this happens, Shopify sends their own notifications by SMS.
Our application is smart enough to detect those use cases and not send SMS in those cases to avoid duplicated messages.
But even if you have enabled this option, our application can be very useful: customers who have decided to checkout with phone number will receive SMS sent from Shopify, while customers who used their email to checkout and specified a phone number in their billing address will be notified by email from Shopify and by SMS from our app SMS notifications.
