How many SMS can I send?

When you subscribe to one of our plans (from $5 to $1000 per month), you receive an amount of SMS credits equal to the plan you select...

Whenever you send an SMS, we increase your monthly credit usage.

Here are the prices per SMS for some common countries (a complete list of prices per country can be found directly within the app):

  • United States: $0.047 / SMS

  • Canada: $0.047 / SMS

  • United Kingdom: $0.080 / SMS

  • France: $0.111 / SMS

  • Australia: $0.098 / SMS

  • India: $0.045 / SMS

  • Japan: $0.115 / SMS

  • South Korea: $0.088 / SMS

As an example: if you are subscribing to the Lite Plan ($10 / month), you will be able to send up to 220 SMS per month to the USA, or around 125 SMS per month to the United Kingdom.

How much does it cost?

We have many different plans. By subscribing to any of the paid plans, you will have the equivalent amount of credits (for instance, subscribing to the Lite Plan will give you $10 worth of credits per month).

What happen when I have consumed all my credit?

If you have consumed all your credit, you will not be able to send an SMS until the next payment period. In order to avoid that inconvenience, you can simply upgrade your subscription, so you get more credits. Don't worry; we'll automatically send you reminder emails when you reach 70% and 90% of your monthly usage!

What happen if I do not consume my monthly credit?

If you do not consume all the credits in your plan by the end of the monthly period, the unused credits are lost, and your new credits are automatically reset to your monthly usage.

How can I improve SMS deliverability?

We use the leading provider in the SMS market to send your messages. However, countries tend to be very strict when it comes to automatic SMS. Therefore, here are a few tips you should follow when defining the content of your messages:

  • Keep the messages short (ideally, they should fit within the 160 character limit).

  • Avoid vulgar/offensive words or slang. Some carriers may categorize those messages as spam and block them.

  • Do not include any political words. Some carriers may block the messages directly.

You can also use our pre-defined messages that were written to improve deliverability.

When am I consuming credits?

You are only consuming credits when we send an SMS.

You are not consuming any credits in the following cases:

  • The customer has not entered his/her phone number during the checkout process.

  • An invalid phone number has been entered by the customer.

  • The phone number is a fixed line (for countries where we can detect it).

Why am I consuming credits for SMS that did not reach the customer?

An SMS may not reach your customers for various reasons:

  • The phone number do not belong to anyone.

  • The carrier has blocked the message (this can happen in countries like China, usually due to political reasons).

  • Your customer has explicitly informed their carrier to block your messages.

  • Your message has been automatically categorized as spam by the carrier.

However, before knowing that the SMS has not reached your customer, we still need to send the SMS first and pay for the transfer costs. That's why you are charged for such messages.

Why my sender ID isn't honored in some countries?

A sender ID is a customizable, short alphanumerical name (up to 11 characters) that appears as the sender name of your messages. It is useful to make your messages more easily identifiable by your customers.

Unfortunately, some countries (United States, Canada, India...) do not accept custom sender ID. In United States and Canada, sender ID is automatically replaced by a local phone number. For other countries that do not support it, it is overwritten by a short, generic name to help improve deliverability (like "NOTICE").

Sender ID is supported in most European countries.

Can I send long SMS?

An SMS written in standard English is a 160 character message, and we highly encourage you to keep your messages short and direct (this can also improve deliverability).

However, if your messages end up being longer than that, we can still deliver them without any issues (but please note that some countries may decide to block long messages).

Can I send marketing campaigns using SMS Notifications?

No, our app is strictly dedicated to order alerts.

We reserve the right to suspend your application usage if you are not respecting this rule.

Does it support non-romance languages?

Yes. Our application fully supports messages written in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, and many other non-romance languages.

Why am I consuming more credits than expected?

A single SMS can contain up to 160 characters. However, due to how SMS works, if you are using some accented characters (like ö, å, etc.) or non-romance characters (Chinese, Hebrew, Arabic, etc.), a single SMS can only contain up to 70 characters.

Most French accented characters fit into the 160 character bucket.

If a message is longer than that, we will need to split the message into multiple SMS, and you will be charged for each one (each additional SMS after the first one for a given message will consume less credits, though).

What happen if I have enabled checkout by phone number?

Recently, Shopify introduced a new way for customers to checkout, using their phone number only (without any email address). When this happens, Shopify sends their own notifications by SMS.

Our application is smart enough to detect those use cases and not send SMS in those cases to avoid duplicated messages.

But even if you have enabled this option, our application can be very useful: customers who have decided to checkout with phone number will receive SMS sent from Shopify, while customers who used their email to checkout and specified a phone number in their billing address will be notified by email from Shopify and by SMS from our app SMS notifications.

APP is easy to install and works pretty fine. we would have loved my store name to come out but all the same, out of all the others we tried , we prefer this.


Update 2: Support went beyond expectation to fix the issue below. App is working perfectly again!

Update 1:
The function of the app is still good. Unfortunately, SenderID is no longer supported, though it used to be which was the primary for using the app .

Easy to install and user-friendly dashboard.
Messages sent and delivery report easy to find.
Great support - needed a feature added and the developer responded promptly with a time-frame for it to be implemented, looking forward to that.
Definitely worth installing.

Losing your credits as confessed to above is theft. I can't rate an immoral app developer very highly.

This app is super easy to use (it feels like if was made by Shopify) and didn't required us to create a separate account for an sms provider. We could also have translated the sms to our language (french). It made the order process easier to follow for our customers ! We also had the need to add a small feature, and Maestrooo team added it the same day, pretty impressive.


Easy to set up, however huge thing is there is no way to send campaigns. ITS ONLY for orders and no way to specify pos orders or online orders. Then the next issue is on the POS if they dont want a text they should be able to opt out


This is very useful app which we really missed in our shop. Dashboard is totally smart & easy (same as Shopify). You can edit and translate everything you need - this is very important feature because you are able to notify your customers around the world so if you plan to scale your business, you are open. Im very happy this App is developed by Maestrooo team because they are one of the TOP on Shopify. Their kind of support is marvelous :) Highly recommended
