For complex business use, I suggest adding a trigger for generating invoices and proforma invoices, in addition to the status, also by the payment method of the order. This would solve the omnichannel scenario when an e-shop order or Shopify POS order is paid in the store or upon pickup and generating invoices is not desired. Michal

We are already working on improving this area, and adding payment-method-based conditions to document generation triggers is exactly the kind of flexibility we want to support. :)
