Tightly: Inventory Planning

Toby and the team at Tightly have been amazing in getting the app configured for us whilst taking our feedback onboard on ways to improve the app over recent months.

The app has so many amazing features, some that we've not had the capacity to fully utilise yet due to the complexities of our procurement across multiple brands, but at it's core it's days of cover feature is ensuring we're stocked accordingly across the brands we sell.

I would highly recommend Tightly and their support is some of the best I've come across with the Shopify apps we've used over the last 5 years.

EDIT: updated to 3 star after the devs took the time to virtual meet with me and ask for input/what would make it work for our business/etc. Have not had time to go back in and check it out again but: a) Commitment to listening speaks volumes, b) They've enacted some fixes that should make it go faster (will test) and c) There's added functionality that is coming later this month (will test that as well, but it sounds promising on paper).

Only one day in on testing this but, so far, it's a major disappointment.

We have a large-ish number of SKUs in our Shopify catalog (30,000 and growing) and Tightly is simply chocking on it. Everything I try to do is S L O W ....

Click on something, wait.
Finish populating, try to select something, wait.

And a lot of the bulk functions I am trying to implement don't even have a 'select all' option: I have to click on each one and (you guessed it): wait.

I'll give it a few days to see if things improve as I poke around but, right now it looks like this is NOT a solution for shops that carry more than a few hundred SKUs.

Receiving no longer slows us down. Variances are flagged clearly, inventory syncs automatically, and we stay focused on selling.

We no longer second-guess our numbers. Tightly makes purchase orders transparent and dependable from start to finish.

Our planning got sharper. With POs tied to costs and timelines, Tightly shows us where to adjust before issues spread.

We have been doing a lot of research including a lot of trial and error of inventory optimisation platforms and Tightly is one of the most exciting propositions. There's still a bit to do but the developers are fantastic and there's already so much power under the hood. Really looking forward to seeing where they take this. Highly recommended.
