We recently converted from Lightspeed to Shopify POS and Workmate for our bike shop. Workmate provides all of the service management functionality that we were needing. The direct integration with Shopify makes it so easy and intuitive to use. We are loving all of the additional capabilities that we are now able to utilize. The Workmate migration team did a great job making the transition as smooth and easy as possible. They were also able to customize the application to meet our specific needs. We would recommend for any shop looking for a service management platform that works well with Shopify.
Shopify's online tools are incredible, but their lack of Point of Sale functionality was a concern for us. WorkMate has filled that void, and then some. Shopify is lucky to have them in the mix. Without them, Shopify would not have worked for our business, or we would have had to run split platforms for sales and service.
We self-implemented WorkMate during our peak summer season - migrating almost 10,000 SKUS from Lightspeed Retail/Ecomm to Shopify/Workmate. It was quick and easy to get up and running. We were able to get operational functionality on day one, and then we've made tweaks along the way. Out of the box was good, but with the tweaks, it's great.
We are 60% online sales and 40% in-store with a lot of service work (work orders). We also do a lot of custom builds and service work for our customers. That frequently requires special ordering products that we may not have in stock, and that requires knowing what to order, what's order, and when that product has arrived.. With the tools WorkMate provides us, and the cross referencing from Work Order to Special Order to Purchase Order and back to the Work Order, we'll be able to manage all our projects and service requests in one place
Great "app." I use quotes because it's so robust that it probably shoudl be called a platform.
Very solid team that helped us through implementation, customized the product to work with our business model. The worked to tailor a solution we could afford as well.
Support is very good; team is incredibly responsive and diligent about solving issues that arise and keeps us posted on progress.
