Savant opens the conversation, asks what the shopper needs, and narrows vague intent down to a specific recommendation. It reads the live basket and the page being viewed, so its answers are about what is on screen now. It checks stock before suggesting anything, so out of stock items stay out of the conversation. When a shopper asks about price it points them to the offers your store already runs. And it remembers. A returning shopper is recognised, and picks up where they left off.
