After the initial installation, we had some discrepancy issues between the "number of images without alt text" and the "number of images resolved." The final reports would always show a specific number of issues fixed each day, but those values never matched the number of actual issues found, or the number of issues actually resolved. This led us to be concerned about inflated credit usage. After giving it some time to process through all of our images, the daily reported issues seem to be much more accurate. Despite the initial headaches, I would still recommend this tool if you have a large cache of images you are trying to process.

Did not work well for me. The text it created was good, but no matter how many credits I had, it would not update all of the images in a full catalog update. I got probably 90% of the images updated with AltText but it could not finish the job even with enough credits to do so.

Using the plug-in to add AltText to older items and too often it's just the title of the product - there's no additional description to qualify as alt text. Just adds additional work on our end to clean up the results. I'm trying to add some of the branding as "negative keywords" to see if that will help with the results.

The good:

Does what it says on the tin. The AI was pretty good and it should help with SEO.

Support was responsive, although a little scripted at times, but helpful and genuinely wanted to make things work.

The bad:

It's a new app and seems like it needs some more input to be a great app. With a bigger catalog t's impossible to know how many images you have and hence how many credits you need.

Credit pricing is inflexible if you have more than 2000 images. The model doesn't really work for numbers over that.

Seems to have the odd bug but works if you run one update at a time.

Summary:

I really wanted to like this more that I did and use it on my store. Unfortunately, it just does not fit the needs of the customer if they are over a certain size and the app itself does not provide feedback and information on numbers, pricing, credits left and more. I think with work it could be a great app but just isn't there yet.

I can see the time savings, but a few things are wonky with the app. First, there is no way to adjust the "temperature" of the AI to tune the accuracy of the descriptions. I've had some wildly inaccurate descriptions on images and it requires me to proofread each one, which doesn't help me with saving time. Also, once I find a bad description, there is no easy way to edit it. I have to open up the product by clicking the link, locate the image, click the image, and rewrite the description before saving it. I would much prefer a quick way to tag descriptions that need to be rewritten and have the app redo it. Also, the bulk option to only edit products with a specific vendor name does not work. I put a vendor in there and it modified a bunch of different vendors.

App is good but it made my alt tags not make sense and google says they should. There is no way to reverse it and I would have rather kept them as I had them before.

Please, help me with this.
