I would not recommend BayEngage by TargetBay.

This has been one of the worst experiences I have had with an app from the Shopify App Store. In my experience, the app did not work properly, and the customer service was extremely difficult to deal with. I worked with Vin, Macedonius, Pon, and other team members and repeatedly felt that promises were made but not properly followed through on.

The platform is also far too expensive for what it delivers. There are many better, more reliable, and more affordable email and SMS marketing apps available for Shopify merchants.

I truly regret choosing this app. I wish I had stayed with my previous provider or taken more time to find another option. Using BayEngage was one of the worst business decisions I have made for my store.

We’ve now also migrated our Customer Reviews and Rewards program to BayRewards, another product offered by the same company, and have been equally impressed with the experience so far.

Before working with BayEngage, our biggest challenge was managing consistent, high-performing email campaigns without spending hours every week designing, segmenting, and testing. We needed a tool that could automate more of the process while still giving us strong visuals and personalization.

We chose BayEngage because of its simple setup, affordable pricing, and deep Shopify integration. Since switching, our open and click-through rates have noticeably improved, and the pre-built automations have saved our team a ton of time. The customer support team has been excellent — responsive, knowledgeable, and quick to offer practical solutions. They even helped us optimize our abandoned cart and post-purchase flows within the first week.

Outstanding customer service! We switched from Klayvio, paying $1200-$1800 per month, and we are now paying less than $500 per month. TargetBay merged everything over from Klayvio, all of our Flows, all of our Segments, our Lists, and even our Templates. The transition was seamless. We are getting better open rates, making more in sales, and saving money. Kudos to TargetBay's team!

BayEngage has impressed me in multiple ways. I've used multiple ESP's and BayEngage is by far the easiest to use and the best on the market. It's fairly priced as well. The cherry on top is their support. All of my requests are answered almost instantaneously and any technical changes usually take less than 24 hours.

Switching from Klaviyo to BayEngage was smooth with onboarding help from their team - Danielle was especially helpful and knowledgable! We are seeing better open rates than with Klaviyo using the same mailing lists and the price is cheaper per month.

We haven't lost any functionality that we were using in Klaviyo and tehe transition was seamless.

We recently switched to TargetBay from another provider, and instantly saved 3-figures on our monthly plan. Quickly learned that our previous provider had us on a shared server with thousands of other clients, which seriously damaged our sender reputation. TargetBay placed us on a dedicated IP, and upon our first campaign, we experienced almost a 50% open percentage right out of the gate -- something we have never come anywhere close to in the past!

BayEngage has been incredibly helpful in mass marketing to our customers. They have functions for automated emails, some customer activity tracking, SMS options, and more depending on what you're looking for. Ron has been a very useful asset in helping us figure out any issues that we have and provide some suggestions on automations we could set up, and assisting on how to set them up if we need help.

We've been using Target Bay for a couple of months already. The whole team has been really helpful and reply really fast to all our concerns. I would give them 5 stars right away if it wasn't for some issue we had to work on. Overall it has been a great app and it's working fine. Thanks to Ron for being so helpful and responsive! He is great!
