Bidit has two products and understanding the difference between them is what made this work for us.
Bidit Classic lets customers make an offer on individual products before they get to checkout. For gifting this has been genuinely powerful. People shopping for someone special often have more budget than they show. Giving them a moment to engage with the price before committing means we capture sales we would never have seen, and at prices closer to full than we expected. Our accepted offer average on Classic sits well above what our discount codes were giving away.
Bidit Cart works on the total order value at checkout. What surprised us here was the effect on average order value. Customers who know they can negotiate tend to add more to their cart first, because they are optimising their offer across the whole order rather than picking one thing. Our AOV has lifted noticeably since we turned Cart on and our margin per order has held because we control the floor.
Between the two we have effectively replaced our discount code strategy. We were sending 15% off to every abandoned cart and slowly training our customers to wait for it. Margin was eroding and we could see it. Now our public pricing stays exactly where it is. Offers happen privately within limits we set. We are recovering carts, lifting AOV, and protecting margin at the same time, which is not something any discount code ever did for us.
The offer data has also made us sharper on pricing decisions for new products and bundles. We know what customers will actually pay now, not what we assumed.
The support team deserve a mention too. Every question we had during setup was answered quickly and properly, not with a link to a help article.
Genuinely one of the better decisions we have made for the business.
