Shoppers see which store has it, pick that store in the cart, and it holds through native checkout.

Shoppers can't tell which of your stores has the item, so they pick one that can't fulfill it. You find out at the counter. Or a pickup-only item sits next to a ship-only one, and no single method fits the cart. BopiSafe shows live stock per store on the product page and in the cart. Stores without the item are greyed out. The chosen store is locked into native checkout, and a pickup-only item stays pickup-only. Mixed with a ship-only item, it checks out as two real native orders.
