Block orders with incompatible products before checkout. Rules hold even on Apple Pay and Shop Pay.

Some orders should never happen: an accessory checking out without its base device, two products that can't ship together, or a bundle item bought again on its own. CartGate blocks these carts before checkout. Set rules by product, variant, or collection, and choose to block the cart or warn the customer on the product page. Your rules hold no matter how the customer checks out, including Apple Pay and Shop Pay, so you stop refunding orders that should never have been placed.

This app completely fixed two problems that we struggled with for months.

First, card testers were buying our $5 USB cable to test stolen cards. Every time it happened, we had to pay $15 in chargeback and refund fees. We tried catching them with Shopify Flow, but the bad orders always made their way through. CartGate let us say "cables can only be bought alongside a TRMNL" and the fraud orders completely stopped.

Second, we sell hardware with a stack of upgrade options (bigger battery, developer edition, etc.), and we also sell a bundle that includes all of them. People kept ordering the "all upgrades" option alongside the "battery upgrade" option, so they were getting the battery upgrade twice. We'd have to fix these orders by hand. CartGate let us block checkout when these bad carts would happen. We haven't had a bad order since then. Was a better experience for both us and the customer. Can't recommend enough.
