Shopify Checkout Blocks

We use Shopify Checkout Blocks at *Parrish Jersey Peach Boutique*, and it's been a game changer. As a fashion and accessories store, it's important for us to provide a seamless and branded checkout experience. This app made it easy to add personalized messages, upsell products, and keep everything on-brand — all without needing to code.

The app advertises itself as free, but in reality, it is not. On the Professional plan, you can only add blocks to the order tracking and thank you pages. If you want to add a block for something actually useful—like custom order notes from customers during checkout—you need the Pro plan, which costs $399. This critical detail is hidden before you install the app. If this is how Shopify and its app partners treat customers, I strongly recommend looking for alternatives.

I cannot add a Static Block with a thank you message to my checkout. I am not on the Basic plan. It takes me to a section for customer subscriptions, and I can't save anything. Along with that, it says my thank you page is unpublished. I guess my existing thankyou and order status pages will just disappear entirely after 26 August.
