Checkout Guard

Present checkout terms and keep policy-linked acknowledgement records with orders.

Checkout Guard helps merchants present their own terms and conditions during Shopify checkout and collect shopper acknowledgement. Create and publish versioned policies, choose the active version, then place the Checkout Guard block in checkout. When validation is enabled and Shopify permits checkout blocking, shoppers must select the checkbox before continuing. A policy-linked record is copied to an app-owned order metafield. Merchants remain responsible for their terms and configuration.

• Create and manage policy content shown beside the checkout checkbox.
• Publish versioned policy records and choose the active version.
• Present the active policy through a Checkout Guard checkout block.
• Require acknowledgement when validation and Shopify blocking are enabled.
• Copy policy-linked acknowledgement records to app-owned order metafields.
