The support for this app is terrible. I would not use this app.
We have installed you app, got paid version but still no media optimisation. We have installed it in our store as there are lots of heavy images used, but for couple of days it shows improvement and than get back the same speed look like not effect. Please check or stop fooling people

app is not working
My store was at 38 when I installed this app. After running the app it is now at 29. It doesnt work.

You signed up for our free plan - which is great for stores with less than 500 product images. Our paid plan covers stores that have more than 500 images and also videos, which is what we'd recommend you use for your store. When a store loads for a user, one cannot determine how they will filter and sort products. Any product and its related media could load, including the ones you have left unoptimized. This means that the better approach for bigger stores is to ensure their entire product gallery is optimized instead of just one small chunk.
We also ran a quick test to see exactly what is affecting your store's speeds and found that your store has other problems in its backend, and not so much media compression. While heavy media files are a big contributor to slow load times, they're not the only factor that require fixing.
Fastshop is a great solution to solve the heavy file size problem but it cannot help you with all the other problems we noticed on your website. We'd recommend moving to a paid plan, and hiring a robust SEO team to optimize your store's entire backend.

Hi! Sorry for the single star, but I just ran the free plan to optimize my store speed, and although my space was reduced, my store speed stayed at 42, unchanged…I don’t know if I did something wrong..it did drop the store size by about 5 MB from 50 MB.
I’d love to give a better review, please let me know if I’ve missed something here..thank you! Steve
Free Trial only increased my store speed by 1 point. Unfortunately, this did not build enough confidence for me to want to invest in the paid version.

Thank you for your review. As you would have seen, the free plan can only optimize upto 50 assets, if the number of assets are more, then you would need to full plan. Please do see if the image sizes have been optimized as promised.

I didn't help at all; my page's speed score decreased even more, and after uninstalling it, even though I reduce the images or remove applications, it doesn't improve. It doesn't go beyond the index where it was. It made my store even slower.

One of the best apps in terms of image and video optimizations, my store has a lot of images and this was slowing the site down, one pass with this app and total image size has reduced by over 60%, page speed has only gone up 1 point but I think its doing what is advertised.

Its literally useless original speed score was 40, then apparently they did something with images and its still on 40? Just don't waste your time.
We are sorry fastshop doesn't meet your needs. As we have often explained, and many of our users have confirmed in our positive reviews, fastshop is not a magic pill that will solve your store's SEO problems.
We are a very targeted solution that can optimize your videos and images so that they are no longer heavy, while still maintaining stellar picture and video playback quality. This is only one isolated aspect of a search engine optimization process. It will not fix other problems that have nothing to do with your product media files.
This allows users to load your store much faster than before, leading to optimized user experience, and consequently having a positive effect on your conversion rates.
Have to say I'm impressed. My site speed score was 43 and now it is around the 66 on the Google speed scale. Looking forward to the impact once all images are optimised.

i don't know how i feel about this app because the first day my score dropped by 3% and the cause said it was fast shop
Thank you for your review. Fastshop does help with your site speeds if you have a lot of heavy product images and videos. Heavy file sizes can cause slowdowns in your load time and get in the way of user experience. However, if you have other problems plaguing your website, there isn't much our app can do about those problems. We'd recommend using a professional SEO specialist in identifying any additional problems.

Optimized properly. Had to set a few close-ups back to normal but otherwise the rest looked good. Deleted some products and the Fastshop app deleted those optimized and the backups of those products quickly. I love the app so far. But I have not created anything new so I have yet to see the auto optimization work with newly created products. Currently they only let you view a few images at a time in the revert your images section. I wish you could set this to a higher limit like 30 per page view, I was hitting that "Load More" button quite a lot, but then I had over 7,000 images to go through. Oh and a super big thing for me was my stores Google Lighthouse Speed Score jumped by 13 points in a day and 1/2. WoW! I was impressed!

We have also been working with a set of stores that requested an email alert to go out to them on a weekly basis that will give them a summary of new media that has been automatically optimized by our app. This is a new feature that should roll out over the next few weeks to all the stores using our app. Until then, the app will continue to quietly optimize any new media uploaded to the store in the backend. We're a high-inventory, image-heavy shop. A lot of our customers live in rural areas with slower internet connections, so we're always looking for ways to improve our site's loading speed. I've tried a lot of image optimization apps, and this is by far the best we've used. Fastshop takes care of this repetitive task automatically and, even though it gives you the option to restore the original image in case the optimization makes it not look its best, I haven't had to use that feature so far. High recommend.
