Dollarback was very easy to set up, and our customers understand store credit much better than points, so we’re already seeing more repeat purchases and reviews. Even though I’m still on the free tier, Lesle always goes above and beyond whenever I need help, which really gives me confidence in using this app long term.

je viens de l'installer et payer mais je me rends compte que la plupart des options ne sont pas compatibles avec mon abonnement (bien sûr il faut payer la formule la plus chère)
d'autre part l'insertion de cashback pour mes clients existants est contre intuitive, elle a adresse par défaut un mail très impersonnel et pas du tout formaté à 1500 de mes clients avant que je m'en rende compte. Pour l'instant ce n'est pas une bonne expérience. En plus aujourd'hui je reçois un mail de leur part pour me dire que leur appli ne fonctionne plus actuellement.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback — we’d like to clarify a few points to avoid any confusion for others reading this.

First, the app was installed under a trial period, and no charges were made at the time. Our pricing and feature availability are clearly outlined before any upgrade.

Regarding cashback for existing customers: emails are never sent automatically by default. In your case, cashback was imported using the bulk import feature, and notifications are only sent if the “notify customer” option is explicitly selected. This setting is disabled by default.

On the email formatting — the emails sent by our app are fully customizable. The preview you’re referring to appears to be Shopify’s default credit notification template, not the one configured within our app. Personalization (branding, styling, messaging) is controlled by the merchant.

As for the downtime: there was a brief interruption, which we proactively communicated to all merchants. While we strive for 100% uptime, occasional outages can happen — and we always work quickly to resolve them and keep users informed.

“I just installed and paid for the app, but I realized that most features are not compatible with my subscription (of course, you have to pay for the most expensive plan).

Also, adding cashback for my existing customers is not intuitive — it automatically sent a very impersonal and poorly formatted email to 1,500 of my customers before I noticed. So far, this has not been a good experience.

On top of that, today I received an email saying that their app is currently not working.”

Dollarback: Cashback & Loyalty might be a fairly new program, and yes, there are still a few things they’re ironing out. But honestly, the potential they’ve shown is really impressive. They’ve managed to build a loyalty system that fully integrates with Shopify.

What really stands out is their support. Abel has been especially amazing, fast to respond, patient, and able to sort out issues in literally minutes to a few hours. It’s rare to get service that feels this personal and this reliable.

All in all, even though they're still growing. I am happy to be part of the early journey.

Dollarback is genuinely and refreshingly incredible to work with. This app is built really well, and everything just works out of the box.

That said, we threw a lot their way during our transition from an old point of sale system and old points-based rewards/loyalty system to this new multi-channel dollar-value rewards model, and they’ve consistently shown patience, follow-through, and genuine care.

They’ve added features in real time based on our feedback -- from the ability to limit cashback by sales channel and specific item variations, to updating their bulk import tool to recognize customer IDs, to even getting their app embed to play nicely with our quick view modal.

It’s rare to find a team that moves this fast while keeping such a collaborative, human approach. Truly refreshing, thanks guys!
