There is something wrong with the app calculations! Great idea, but when you set up for 1kg of carbon offset per order, and you have 516 orders over 30 days, that equates to $144.48. $200 gets used up in the first week and then pauses until the next month, which doesn't look great on the site.
I've checked the last 7 days (126 orders), from when it renewed, and its charged me $57.12, when it should have been $34.72!
Hi there, thanks for your feedback. I have reached out to you directly to help resolve this issue for you. The reason that your carbon removal funding is different to what you were expecting is because you are funding carbon per spend amount as opposed to per order, which is why the spend is it a higher rate to what you were expecting. You can change this at any point in your app settings.
The reason that the banner displays as paused is because you will have reached your pre-set spend limit and therefore impact funding is stopped until next month. We do this to protect our customers from greenwashing so that the impact you are funding matches what is displayed on your site at any given moment.
You can also increase your spend limit at any given time, this spend limit is in place to protect Shopify merchants from unexpected charges. We hope this clarifies the issue, and more than happy to discuss this on a call and help tweak your impact settings.

It would be incredible to have an option for our customers to donate to meet a set goal to make it easier on finances. Especially for smaller businesses that are passionate about giving back to the environment, sometimes all we can do is $20/ mo. Imagine how much more could be donated if there was a widget to allow customers to donate. Otherwise, I love this app and it's generally easy to use.
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately Shopify only let's us edit the checkout if you are a Plus store. The feature you are actually already exists but is only available for Plus customers. It has take very long to improve few aspects. Also the cost of tree planting is 20 cnets more expensive than buying it on the shop, that is not correct. Still does not offer an option to also let the customers to pay for funding the tree planting or now the carbon removal. This should be an option so that we dont need to cover all the costs. It would be great if your app could calculate the CO2 impact of the shipping from the products from origin to the customers place. Including products that are first imported and then distributed from a Warehouse for exampel in the UK.

On the tree price, our Impact Shop price for trees is actually $0.89 per tree, so Shopify trees are slightly cheaper at $0.80. I think what might have happened here is that you were looking at the GBP price which is £0.60 per tree. Apologies for any confusion here.

We are unfortunately considering canceling this integration as the Shopify API doesn't showcase that we are planting trees on our products pages (despite Ecologi's images showing that their app makes it possible).
Thanks for your feedback. We've recently introduced a native theme extension for our app which allows you to easily drag and drop your impact directly onto your product pages. Hopefully this helps you showcase your impact to your customers!
It's quick and easy to set up an account, however I don't really feel like it's set up for Shopify Integration at all. You can see on your account how many trees you've donated which is great but to get that information onto your website you need to mess around with code. There's also no option to show customers on the product pages that their purchase is making a donation. The info on the app images are very misleading as it makes out that this is possible

Super easy to set up. Tree pricing is surprisingly low. I'd love to see a bit more integration into my shop interface, to help draw attention to the trees being funded with each purchase so I could use this positive action also to better leverage this awesomeness for my own branding, but for now I can add a bunch of this stuff myself manually, and am just happy at how easy it was to get started.
Love Offset Earth and their mission. Besides a business account to offset for our staff, we now also have this app enabled to further compensate for all our shipments that obviously do not help. Simply enable and go!
I love Ecologi and I'm bvery happy that we are able to use this app to integrate our existing work with them into our shopify shop (we already have been using the carbon offset for employees for a while now). The only thing I would love to see added is an option for customers to overcompensate the amount of carbon compensation, and maybe something like a badge? Currently we just coded the latter into the shop theme ourselves.
