Unicorn Geo‑Blocker

First impressions..... I turned to this app because in one day I had had 4,000 bots from Singapore in my store. On top of this, I was getting Bangladesh, China, Malaysia, Taiwan. I installed this app. I was slightly hesitant at first because it had only got seven five-star ratings, so not well used. Within seconds of installing the app, I didn't need to go to any support because it was so straightforward to set up that it worked straight away. Within five minutes it blocked all the countries, and to date I'm only speaking within 15 minutes of installing the app, which is absolutely solved what was becoming a major problem.

I've got to say I am massively impressed with this app, probably one of the best that I've put on the store for what it actually does for you, and at only 4.99 it's a bargain.

I installed this app after being struck continuously by Singapore and China bots in the 1000s a day. Within 5 minutes of uploading the app and blocking the countries I do not sell to, it kicked them out and now shows my normal visitor traffic. Well worth the 4.99 per month.

Wow! What amazing support from Darryn! My store was getting absolutely hammered with bot traffic originating from Singapore. Initially the traffic was able to go around the app as initially installed. Darryn politely and professionally asked for permission to continue developing a solution that would ultimately block 100% of this pesky traffic. After a few go-arounds and the tireless work of Darryn, his bot blocker proved to be unbeatable. Rare to find people as dedicated as the folks at Unicorn proved to be. Five stars just doesn't seem like enough to reward this team.

I've tried several "geo blockers" and while all of them work, most of them are very easy to bypass. The "Unicorn Geo-Blocker" has done a very good job of blocking countries.

It's a very simple APP to install. After installation just "type the message" you would like users in "blocked" countries to see, select the countries you want to "block" and then click the button to "enable"... That simple.

PROS:
Very simple to install and set up.
Ability to customize the "message" blocked countries will see.
Easy to "enable" or "disable" with the click of a button.
APP doesn't slow down your page or "wait for verification" before displaying your page to your customers in "unblocked" countries.
Excellent support from developer.

CONS:

FINAL NOTE:
After I installed the geo-blocker, the only thing I didn't like was the phrase "BLOCKED" "this store is not available in your country. I wanted something a little softer sounding like "Sorry... this store is not available in your country", or "Sorry, we do not have shipping options to your country".
I asked the developer if they could change the text for me...and within a day the option to add custom text was added! 5 stars for APP performance and excellent support from Darryn.
