We used this app for a bit, and it does work. We disabled it because we have a Square POS system at our cafe and customers were getting confused about where they could redeem the online Shopify gift card and were trying to use it in the cafe.
After we disabled the app we kept it because of concerns that our customers would not be able to fulfill their gift cards. We didn't realize that we were being charged .05 for every order on our site. The charges can be found on your Shopify invoice after you click through the apps to see specific charges. Unfortunately, we did not see this for almost a year. Be careful to check your charges. This "fee" was apparently in the fine print but we didn't see it.
The video message feature adds such a personal touch—our shoppers keep coming back for more!
I have started using the Free option and it works in a wonderful manner. 1 glitch was seen but that was solved in a short duration by Galvos and his team. Please use this for Gift Cards for sure.

Just starting to use GV but looks great and it's free to use.
This app is awful. We have tons of orders where the app just did not assign a code. We also found that the app did not send out the emails with the code. Their support is crap. They don't have any answers, they did not send out the gift codes to the recipients even though I have requested that 3 times now. Customers are very upset. This is taking a huge amount of my time to find and send out gift codes to upset customers. The app was supposed to do that, and when we found out that they did not, we requested that they send out the codes to all recipients. They have not done that yet....

Amazing customer service! I had an issue with the app because I wanted to change the color of some buttons and the option did not yet exist. They went above and beyond to make it happen. Thank you!
