Margin Guard helps Shopify POS merchants protect profitability when offering discounts. Merchants set a minimum gross margin, and Margin Guard uses the current cart value and Shopify product costs to calculate how much additional discount can be offered without falling below that margin. Staff can see the cart’s current margin and apply the maximum safe discount directly from Shopify POS. If the margin floor has been reached, additional discounting is disabled.
