Month-end used to be a pain — we had to ask who brought in each customer. Now everyone has their own link, sales credit to the right person, and staff can check on their phones without Shopify admin access. Fine for a small team: enable the theme embed, follow the guide for commission settings, and our staff were sharing links the same day.
I handle our monthly referral commissions. Before this I was cross-checking Shopify orders, chat screenshots, and a spreadsheet — easy to miss something or pay twice.
Now I work off monthly settlement batches by staff: draft, confirm, then mark paid, with notes and timestamps. Reports export to CSV so I can match them to payroll. Refunds adjust the commission lines automatically so I’m not fixing totals by hand at month-end.
Not flashy, but it cut down a lot of back-and-forth and reconciliation time.
