In addition to being able to add commenting to posts and products, and implement a full-fledged real-time forum, the app also includes 5 widgets that can be added to any section of any page to add to your store's real-time community experience:

  • Online Users – Show who is currently online, watch in real-time as new faces are added and see who is currently writing a response!
  • Latest Comments – See the latest five items that have been commented on, and watch as the list is updated dynamically.
  • My Feed – Users can see all the discussions they're a part of or are subscribed to. Trending Topics – See the most active topics in the past week and watch as the comment and like counts update in real time; you can even see when someone is typing in one of the topics as it's happening!
  • Discussion Channel – You can embed a single discussion channel in a footer or sidebar to encourage users to participate directly from any page in your store.

We've now tried greater than 5 times to contact Muut support since our app stopped functioning and have not heard a response. We are now considering switching services

This app repeatedly FAILS to install as other reviews here have noted. Shopify, why can you NOT get at least ONE good forum app?! :(


I was excited to get this product integrated into our site. I sold my employer on it, rather than going with the standard php forum... Unfortunately, I can't get it to work, and all the documents/manuals are outdated (2015, I believe)... Also, it requires that you set up a AWS account and S3 bucket, which is fine, except the docs are outdated for AWS's system, so they're basically useless. I really hope the customer service will get back to me and help me sort this out, so far nothing... and I've reached out through email, their forum, and contact form... so... yeah... don't buy this product.
