this app is one o the worst app I've dealt with, They charge too much $$ to send back a product that looks cheap.. Didnt know its a screen print company only.. I'm deleting my account.. To Shopify not all apps are good apps, know who you do business with.. minus 5 star
Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear the app didn’t meet your expectations. We strive to offer competitive pricing that reflects the high quality of our professional-grade films and adhesives.
To clarify, we are a Direct to Film (DTF) provider, as noted in our name—we don't actually offer screen printing. DTF is specifically designed for higher detail and better durability than traditional prints. We’d love the chance to look into your specific order to see what happened. If you’re open to it, please reach out to our support team so we can make this right
VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! STARTED A NINJA PODs, THEY REFUSE TO FULFIL MY CUSTOMER'S ORDERS YET THEY TAKE MY CUSTOMER'S MONEY. THEY DO NOT PROVIDE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR NINJA PODs EITHER!!! TERRRIBLE IDEA BY THE WAY, SO AS I WAIT FOR A SERIES OF POINTLESS NO EFFORT EMAILS, MY CUSTOMER IS IN LIMBO! SO NOW BY EXTENSION OF NINJA I TOO PROVIDE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. and why do you offer patches, blanks, puff print etc. and NONE of those services can be added to a ninja pod? why are you under the same website offering these options that align with what a creator would look to use yet do not offer these creative options?
I am very sorry for the frustration this has caused you and your customers. I’d like to clarify a few things so we can get this resolved.
To clarify the billing process, your customers' payments go directly to you. Ninja POD only charges your card on file for fulfillment services. We never handle your customers' money.
Regarding customer service, our team operates at full capacity Monday through Friday. I apologize if you tried to get assistance over the weekend and felt ignored. Someone will be getting back to your email today to look into your unfulfilled orders.
As for our other decoration methods (patches, puff print, etc.), these cannot be offered via POD because Print on Demand produces one piece at a time. Specialty items require minimum order quantities. We offer them on our site for creators who want to purchase items in bulk to decorate and sell themselves.
Our team will be in touch shortly to help you with your pending orders.
I was notified by ninja POD that they have recently began providing a system that tracks inventory within a connected Shopify store. The system was supposed to mark all products at 9999 until they reach 20 units and then it should state the actual quantity until sold out. Then they were to be marked sold out automatically by Ninja POD . This is an odd system, but better than nothing. So after I enabled tracking in the system all of the inventory numbers in my products and their variants were not marked 9999 or 1 through 20 or sold out. The numbers all varied in the thousands and hundreds of thousands. There were shirts that I had created that were stated as in stock in my Shopify store but when I looked in the NInja POD catalog were not even there anymore. I contacted support last week on three separate occasions and have not even received a response. The inventory tracking system does not work properly. I don't feel as though this organization has it all together. Very disappointed in both your app performance and customer service:-(
I'm so sorry this was your experience. We strive for excellent customer service and this is not what we would want for any of our partners to experience. I have sent you an email directly answering the questions you had and have addressed the issues with our service team. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do to assist you and we hope one day you will feel confident enough with us to update your review.
I've had very good tech support from Ninja POD. I'm not a big fan of email-based support, but the techs get back to me quickly and resolve my issues.
I really struggled with the Ninja POD app when I first started out. There is definitely a series of steps that need to be taken and the order that they're taken is important. Be aware that there is a learning curve and you may have to learn a couple of things the hard way.
The app does have its quirks. For me, the product syncing is the most finicky and will often double my mockups. This requires manually deleting the extras which doesn't take that long, but is a little irritating.
I've generated a wish list for the Ninja POD team and hope they can make some changes to the app to work a bit better for me and reduce my workload.
The biggest issue is editing and resyncing every single product in a collection of 140+ t-shirts when there is a color variant correction, for instance. That is the challenge I'm facing now. My advice is to make absolutely sure your color variants are correctly displaying prior to creating a lot of products or you are in for a tremendous amount of work.
I would also highly recommend that you provide artwork instructions to the design team when you first upload your artwork. Don't count on the team to position your artwork "correctly" and don't wait to add the instructions. If you have to add the artwork instructions later you could be in for a lot of work since the instructions have to be added to each product and not to a collection.
Another issue is the way the app adds color variants. If you want the colors in order like you would see on the shelf of a typical department store, you have to add the colors to your product one by one. Entering in 5 at a time in bulk like the app allows will add them in random order and if you have 12 color variants you will have to rearrange them all (and all the mockups) once you publish your product. That is a pain in the butt done once, but if you ever have to resync your product - and you will - you have to rearrange them all again.
The last thing on my wish list that I can remember concerns the templates. These should be huge time-savers, but a template does not maintain the color variant order of the product you're making the template from. So, it really does you no good since you're back to having to rearrange all the variants in the shop.
I wouldn't let any of these issues keep you from using Ninja POD and the app. Creating this app and integrating Ninja POD with Shopify was super tough and the app works well once you learn its limitations and what you need to do. This is a good company and the Ninja POD team is very receptive to customer concerns.
Have to give a shout out to Justyne and the NinjaPOD customer service team. They have been extremely helpful at teaching us the 'ropes' of POD. They are extremely responsive and help explain the 'why' behind answers and actions. We have been very impressed!
Thank you so much for your review, this means a lot to us!
Fulfillment is slow. I switched over from Printful thinking Ninja would be a lot quicker at fulfilling orders and I think they're actually slower. I had one order from 1/12 that didn't get fulfilled until 1/16 and as of today 1/22 the customer is still waiting for their item. I put in a personal order on 1/16 for physical stock replenishment and it's barely going into production today 1/22.. I hope I have it in time for my market event on 2/7...
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand how important timely fulfillment is, especially when you are preparing for an upcoming event, and we appreciate the opportunity to provide some additional context.
Our standard fulfillment timeframe is 2–4 business days, and in your case, the majority of your orders (4 out of 6) were produced and shipped within that window. The two orders you referenced did experience slightly longer production times, which can occasionally occur due to factors outside of our direct control, such as temporary production volume increases or supply chain constraints.
Once an order ships, transit times are handled by the carrier. Recent nationwide weather disruptions have caused delays across multiple carriers, including UPS, and unfortunately those delays are beyond our control.
We continuously monitor fulfillment performance and work closely with our production team to keep turnaround times consistent and competitive. We truly value your business and feedback, and we do our best to have your upcoming order arrive well ahead of your event.
If your experience improves once your orders are delivered, we would sincerely appreciate you revisiting your review at that time. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team if there’s anything we can do to assist further at support@ninjaprintondemand.com.
After more than 5 years of working with POD suppliers that only print designs using mainly DTG, losing so much money buying poorly printed samples, I finally had enough and decided to find a POD supplier that does DTF printing. DTG just doesn't work well with dark colors and most of my customers want dark colors. I was so happy to find Ninja POD and was super excited to see that they are strictly DTF, but I've worked with companies in the past with faded DTF images, so I ordered samples to test Ninja POD to see if their designs would come out as bright as they stated in their advertisement. I just received my sample of products with various designs and colors on different articles of apparel from Ninja POD and true to their claim, their images were super bright, and I am so excited to begin this new partnership with them. I will be rebuilding my entire Shopify store apparel all with Ninja POD products. I know it'll will be a lot of work, but it's worth it to know that I will be able to trust that every design in my store will have bright vivid images on the apparel I sell regardless of the color. Thank you so much for sticking with DTF. It's the best!!!
Thank you so much for your kind review! We love DTF here at Ninja!
We’ve been using Ninja’s consumable products for quite some time, including DTF supplies that we also print in-house, and their products have consistently been phenomenal — from DTF transfers to patches. Because of that positive experience, we decided to transition part of our operation to Ninja’s Print-on-Demand service to reduce internal workload and expand our product offerings without the burden of warehousing large amounts of inventory.
We recently rebranded and are currently soft-launching our new brand using Ninja POD. Overall, the print quality has been solid. Occasionally, we’ve seen minor issues such as crooked or slightly misaligned design placements. To Ninja’s credit, every issue that didn’t pass our strict quality control was reprinted promptly and without pushback.
That said, communication is where things could improve. While corrected products do arrive a few days later, there is often little to no correspondence when an issue is reported. As a POD provider, Ninja isn’t just a vendor — they’re a business partner — and even a short acknowledgment or update would go a long way.
The app functions reasonably well, especially considering Ninja is newer to the POD space, and improvements do seem to be ongoing. However, there are some areas that need attention. Mockups, in particular, are a challenge. On several hoodies, the design editor places artwork too high, overlapping the hood, which forces you to compress the artwork height and distort the aspect ratio — even though 11” x 16” prints are stated as supported. Some products are missing proper placement boxes altogether, including pocket placements, or have placement boxes positioned outside the actual garment. Sleeve mockups look especially rough and resemble animated mannequin renders rather than realistic apparel. More lifestyle mockup choices would also be nice. Especially for back prints. The ability to remove/hide the default branding tags and/or replace with custom tags in the mockups would be great.
Additional app issues include the inability to fully delete products from the system — deleted product names remain reserved, which makes reusing names difficult later. A bulk edit or bulk delete feature is also badly needed. Deleting products one by one, especially when the app returns you to the first page each time, is inefficient and frustrating.
Looking forward, there are several features that would significantly elevate the platform. It would be great to see more transfer options available in POD, such as glitter, puff, foil, and glow-in-the-dark. Patch hats or embroidered hat options would also be a welcome addition, as DTF is not ideal for headwear. Expanding beyond apparel into items like drinkware, candles, or other lifestyle products would help brands offer more variety.
One of the most exciting potential improvements would be enhanced branding options — custom packaging, thank-you cards, or even small inserts like stickers or keychains. Since Ninja already does UV DTF extremely well, this feels like a natural next step to help brands create a more personalized unboxing experience rather than just a folded shirt in a poly bag.
Customer service does appear to be improving, and the introduction of a chat feature is a positive step, though email response times could still be faster. They are also developing an inventory feature, which currently feels a bit rough around the edges, but given that this is peak season, some growing pains are understandable.
Overall, when compared to other POD companies, choosing Ninja still feels like a smart decision. They are clearly on the right path, and we appreciate the effort they’re putting into improving the platform. We’re hopeful for a long, prosperous partnership as we grow together — and we fully expect to update this review to a 5-star rating once these improvements are realized.
Thank you so much taking the time to write this feedback. We are actively working on many of the features you mentioned and hope to have you update to a 5 Star review soon! Keep an eye out for our updates as we work to improve our app.
Love this POD program runs smoothly, I sold over 200 items with no returns. I have tested the products, and they are very good too.
Thank you so much!!
Ninja has been a god send for our company. From ordering prints on line and pressing them ourselves to there print on demand for our store. Great quality, super fast shipping and if there is a problem a replacement is sent right away! Only thing I wish They had was embroidery so I didn’t have to go to other POD stores!
Thank you so much! We are working on adding more solutions to our app!
