Numeral Sales Tax

Numeral has been great and has been a solid upgrade from our last sales tax software. Thing are much more automated, and Numeral takes true responsibility for our company's sales tax filings. They resolve all issues for us and acknowledge when they make a mistake. They even pay any penalties and interest that may be incurred due to a mistake they made(which is not often, but it is nice that they do this on the rare occasion). Customer service has been great, especially from Taylor. Additionally onboarding was relatively simple. The only reason they are not getting 5 stars is due their reporting, which could be better. That said, I informed them of this and they are actively improving their reporting.

Numeral team is on top of it. We've had all sorts of challenges over the years and they've been very helpful. We worked with Avalara before and they were a nightmare, insanely expensive and had zero customer service. They had no one to answer the phones, and constantly tried to use AI bots to facilitate tax questions. Numeral is 1,000x better, and it's easy to connect with real people who can help in case of issues. I highly recommend.

The Numeral team has done a good job of onboarding our account after transitioning from Avalara. As with other commenters, filing with the various states is not an easy task. Do not expect perfection; there are always a few issues. But the customer service team has been faster and faster with their responses. The overall Numeral team has been efficient in filing all of my required returns.

I would say that the platform is still evolving and has a way to go with respect to reporting; the available reports are pretty basic which is why I'm giving them a 4 instead of a 5.
