What is insured?

Delay of a parcel (UK to UK shipments only): if the parcel has not been delivered at least 24 hours after the scheduled delivery date, your business will automatically receive a shipping costs reimbursement up to the value of £20.

Loss of a parcel: if the parcel has not arrived at least 5 days after the scheduled delivery date, plus 5 days data confirmation audit period, you will automatically receive a reimbursement equivalent to the retail value (up to the limit of £25,000) plus shipping costs.

Damage of a parcel: up to full retail value (limit of £25,000), dependent on the extent of the damage, for parcels that are damaged in transit with the courier.

    When it comes to insuring the deliveries I send it’s always been a total nightmare. I used to do all my parcel insurance through the courier but found that trying to make a claim was impossible and took forever and only paid out a fraction of the cost of the item. I found Offcourse when looking for an alternative option to using the insurance couriers offer and honestly I can say it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done for my business. The interface is so simple and pulls in all your orders straight from Shopify. It has really in depth delivery tracking, so much so I’d recommend downloading it for the tracking alone! The beauty of this insurance is you choose what you cover based on the cart value. I tend to insure anything over £50 so it works really well for me. The best aspect of this insurance and app for me is that it’s automated. If a delivery of mine is late, the app starts a claim for me. I don’t have to do anything, no forms, nothing. It’s genius. I never knew insurance could be this simple. If you do have to make a claim, which I unfortunately have, getting your money is really simple. They pay me any of my claim payouts every month and they go straight into my bank account. Before, I used to get my payouts by cheque and wait ages for them to clear. This service has saved me so so much time and money. Plus, my reviews have been so much better because my customers have less complaints about bad deliveries, I can send out replacements asap knowing I will get my claim payout so quickly. I couldn’t recommend them enough!!

    I have been looking a long time now for a cost-effective, easy-to-use solution that enables me to insure the bicycles I send via my e-commerce website, in case they get lost and never get delivered to my customers. The delivery company I currently use has an insurance policy in place, but only pays £25 (after administration fees) for each lost item. Now, this is fine if the item sells for under £100, but some of my bikes sell for more than £1,000. Clearly, I needed a different solution that would pay most of the claim, in the event of a loss. This is where the Offcouse App by Anansi comes in. For a modest fee, I am now able to insure my more valuable items without having to worry about taking a large hit if they lost in transit. It's very rare that a bicycle gets lost in transit, but it has happened in the past. At least now with this App, I have the comfort of knowing that everything above a certain price threshold (the user gets to choose the value parameters) will be covered for 85% of the customer's cart value. The App was free and easy to install. Any queries have always been dealt with quickly and professionally by either Megan or Ana. I would definitely recommend this App for anyone who sells high-value items on their Shopify store that wants to ensure they are covered, just in case the worst happens!
