When a product is about to sell out, PreOrder Guard lets you keep selling against the shipment already on its way. It suggests a preorder cap from your own sales history and the incoming quantity, holding back a buffer for supplier delays. Sales do not stop at the cap: you turn the preorder off yourself. Preorders run on Shopify's native purchase options, so nothing is written to your theme. An overdue restock date or a cap that is 90% sold is flagged when you open the app. No alert is sent.
