weedit Privacy Embeds

Show YouTube, Vimeo and map embeds that load only after a click or the visitor’s consent.

Privacy Embeds shows a notice in place of YouTube and Vimeo videos and Google Maps or OpenStreetMap maps. Until a visitor clicks or allows marketing in your cookie banner, nothing is loaded from the provider. Add videos and maps as blocks, turn video links in descriptions, pages and blog posts into players, and hold back theme videos shown behind a cover image. A privacy check in the theme editor lists embeds that still load before consent.

• Video and map blocks load nothing from the provider until allowed
• Follows the visitor’s choice in Shopify’s cookie banner, or waits for a click
• Turns YouTube and Vimeo links in descriptions, pages and posts into players
• Holds back theme videos shown behind a cover image
• Visitors can always allow a provider; texts and colours are yours to set
