How it helps store owners ?

Store owners can now relax and not worry about cross selling, upselling, sales and discovery of products. Recommendation Kit takes care of generating personalized recommendations using a proprietary algorithm. Store owners can enable frequently bought together widget using our dashboard and we take care of ensuring that right products are recommended to the user.

We add a widget on product page and render the products that a user might be interested in. We want your recommendation to be completely powered by our widget which are not just personalised but also optimised for conversions.

What is a widget?

A Widget is a horizontal component on your Shopify store which displays a list of products to the user. We currently support:

  • Frequently Bought Together - Cross Sell & Up Sell.
  • Similar Products - Increase discoverability of Products.
  • Recently Viewed - Decrease Bounce Rate.

How recommendations increase conversions ?

Recommendations are personalized and based on relevant products using past order data and other events like add to cart, product page views. The algorithm looks for patterns in user behaviour to find what he/she is looking for. This enables us to show relevant products to the user.

Our algorithm understand where a user likes. For example, premium products or economical products. And accordingly it shows recommendations. Our algorithms are optimised for Click Through Rate for Add to Cart which ensures maximum conversion and sales for Shopify Store owners.

How it works ?

  1. As soon as a store owner installs our app, we use past order data & new user visits to build product recommendations.
  2. These recommendations are then stored on our backend and are used for serving widgets on store page.
  3. Once a user lands on a product page we use the current product to find most relevant products. In case of frequently bought together widget we show user products which are frequently bought with that product. This is a popular technique used for upselling.
  4. Once a user add a product or multiple products to cart, we use it show more relevant suggestion using cross sell.
  5. Over time we understand user preference and are able to show more personalized recommendations to increase conversion.

Who are we ?

We are a bunch of Data Scientists and Engineers who have vast experience in the field of upselling, cross selling, recommendations and conversion optimisation. We believe that data is the best source of truth and Shopify store owners should have the ability to take advantage of recent developments in machine learning. Currently only a handful of large companies have the ability to invest in this field. Our aim is to bring this technology to all Shopify Merchants.
