Upon initially downloading the app, we did see a good amount of upsells. However, lately there seems to have been updates with either Shopify, or ReConvert that is making the app not worth the price.

The app also no longer applies a shipping cost for one click upsells. So we've had issues with customers not being charged enough shipping for the products they add during the check out upsell process. What we've had to absorb in additional shipping fees, doesn't make the app worth it. (We've also reached out to support and there wasn't much help/explanation offered).

It’s great to hear ReConvert drove solid upsell results at the start. We completely understand how frustrating it is to lose margin due to shipping miscalculations, and we should’ve done more to help when you reached out. The truth is, some of this may be down to Shopify's own platform, but I'm happy to look into this for you.

We’d love the chance to review this properly with you, especially as Shopify has made ongoing changes to the post-purchase checkout that may affect how shipping behaves with upsells. Customer service is fast to reply and very helpful. But the app itself made the upsell process on our store very awkward and clunky. Then we were charged really high fees for any upsellf that were made. There's definitely better options out there.

The app worked to generate extra sales but caused confusion after checkout causing multiple people to select the wrong option which required refunds after they purchased. It also generated online posts discussing the trustworthiness of our website. We decided the extra sales/revenue it generated as not worth the issues and lost credibility.

I still have yet to get the app generating revenue as I feel some parts are confusing however whenever I’ve needed help or assistance the costumer service from shafta has always been amazing

I recently explored ReConvert and found their pricing model a bit unclear upfront. Here’s what I learned:

Trial Period: They offer a generous 30-day free trial, which is great for testing the app’s features and assessing its value.
Post-Trial Fees: After the trial, the cost depends on your store’s total order volume, plus 0.75% of additional revenue generated by the app. While this seems performance-based, it may not suit smaller businesses with fluctuating sales.
Important Note: Billing begins automatically after the trial, even if the app remains inactive. This can catch users off guard if they forget to disable or fully utilize the app.
Pros:

The trial period is a good opportunity to experiment.
The app seems focused on increasing Average Order Value (AOV) and profits.
Cons:

Automatic billing, regardless of usage, feels restrictive.
Transparency in pricing could be improved with a clearer breakdown of potential costs upfront.

Final Thoughts: While ReConvert may work well for businesses ready to leverage its tools actively, I’d advise keeping a close eye on your trial end date to avoid unexpected charges.

The setup is quite simple and the possibilities for settings are numerous. My problem is that I can't style the app via CSS. Certain titles and fields have the wrong colours or sizes and this cannot be overridden via theme.css.liquid. Support was already overwhelmed with this (pretty basic) request.

Anastasia on the Support chat was a BIG help! Initially it seems like a breeze to set up, but there are alot of little quirks and weird ways to turn off discounts that are not very intuitive and you have to turn things on and off in multiple places... It was a little frustrating to be honest. Also, there is definately a slow down in my store after instal. Especially on the post purchase page. The offers do not load immediately. They take a good 15-20 seconds to load up, which by that point I feel like the customer has already moved on past the thank you page ...
