UPS Access Point is a great service, saves us a lot in shipping charges and missed deliveries. Very happy that Hub Box can add this as an option to our store.
Hub Box has also worked steadily at optimizing this service, which I love.
Some customers were booking Access Point by mistake (breezing through checkout without paying attention to the shipping methods.) Since they tweaked shipping method ordering so Access Point must be proactively selected (aka it doesn't show up as the default/pre-selected shipping method - even if it is the cheapest), that customer confusion has been eliminated. And it is still super popular.
Now they are rolling out a new alert so customers will know when their package reaches the Access Point and is available for pickup. This communication doesn't come from UPS/shopify, so it is filling a gap and will reduce another area of confusion from customers who weren't paying attention to their tracking.
I am hoping for one last update - the ability to set tiered pricing rates. Currently the option is to set one shipping rate for every package, whether it weighs 1 pound or 100; whether it is going 2 miles or 2,000. Our rates vary substantially depending, so being able to add $X amount per Y pounds or setting rates by shipping zone would be a huge help.
