We installed the SureBright app on our Shopify store less than six months ago to offer extended warranty options to our customers. While the idea seemed convenient at first, our experience has been deeply disappointing.
When we decided to discontinue using the service — within our rights, as no long-term contract was ever signed — we encountered extreme difficulty in simply removing our payment information from their system. Despite multiple polite requests, our credit card remains on file with no confirmation of removal.
More concerning is how SureBright treats customers after a partnership ends. They contacted our customers directly, creating confusion about their warranty coverage. This caused unnecessary stress and distrust — all from a company that was never equipped to fulfill the very warranties they were paid to support.
We later learned that SureBright lacked the infrastructure to handle actual warranty claims. They are a technology company, not a service provider. Our customers never received the support they expected, and the burden fell entirely back on us.
Now, despite offering to pay a fair, pro-rated fee for the time we used the app, we are met with legal threats over an unpaid invoice we never agreed to.
We do not owe for services not rendered. We do not expect to be penalized for walking away from a partner that could not deliver.
If you value transparency, fair business practices, and actual service fulfillment — look elsewhere. This company creates problems instead of solving them.
We take feedback seriously and are concerned by the inaccuracies reflected in this review. The statements published are materially misleading and omit critical context. The issue referenced relates to a commercial dispute arising from the retailer’s collection of funds from customers for regulated service contracts that were not remitted to SureBright despite repeated written requests over an extended period. The retailer represented on multiple occasions that payment would be made; however, no remittance was ultimately received.
Any cancellation of coverage resulted solely from the retailer’s failure to transmit collected contract consideration, and the retailer was notified of this consequence in advance on multiple occasions.
SureBright administers and fulfills service contracts through established underwriting and claims infrastructure operating across multiple jurisdictions. Our programs are structured to comply with applicable state and federal service contract regulations.
