Honestly didn't expect this
We're at 2,500+ images processed and I'm still a little amazed every time I use it.
My shopify store has close to 400+ products, each with 3 to 7 images. The photos were taken over the years — some dating back to 2021 — so backgrounds changed, lighting changed, photographers changed, products changed. For many products we didn't have zoomed-out images, just cropped shots. Chaos left, right and center.
Now my entire catalogue is consistent. Same background, same lighting. Not only that — it zoomed out the zoomed-in and cropped images and went beyond that by completing missing product container edges. All done with ReframeHQ. I even noticed my sales went up after fixing the images — we look like a coherent brand now . And this was done with one feature only — AI Scenes. We haven't even touched the other features yet.
Before this app, fixing product photos meant hours of editing, sometimes re-shooting entirely, then uploading and replacing files one by one. Now I load a batch, wait 10–15 minutes, and 100 images across multiple products come back looking consistent and professional. Lighting fixed, backgrounds clean, cropping done — and the fine details are kept intact. For us that matters a lot because we sell handmade chocolates and the textures and fillings need to look exactly right, not under nor over promising.…just right.
The whole thing happens inside Shopify. No exporting, no editing in another app, no re-uploading. You review the results and replace the originals right there. Simple.
This app helped us skip Canva and other apps completely. Now I take photos on my phone 1:1, upload them to Shopify as-is, run ReframeHQ AI Scenes, pick the same background, and I have great catalogue photos. I then export them from Shopify for use on Instagram to maintain a consistent look and feel.
I'm not exaggerating when I say this saved us weeks of work and probably avoided a few re-shoot sessions too. It also opened the door to reviving older images for products we didn't have time to reshoot — now all up and running on the website.
There's a bit of a learning curve at the start and I wasted about 200+ credits figuring things out. But Pedro was kind enough to credit some of those back, which honestly made me trust them more. Early on we faced challenges with inconsistent AI output regardless of the chosen preset or prompt, but Pedro adjusted things behind the scenes to make it consistent, I emailed him after each run with my remarks, to which he fixed promptly. He also tweaked things to ensure the AI doesn't touch the texture of our products — especially important with chocolate, as AI is notorious for over-smoothing beyond reality. In some instances, I had chocolate pieces without a tray, and ReframeHQ added a crystal tray below as per my prompt.
If you're not willing to tough it out initially and get over the learning curve, don't venture in. But once we get the hang of it, now I wonder how we managed without it. I just passed 40 images through the app for 6 new products before writing this review immediately. I shot the images at 2:30 pm, 9:30 pm the products are live on our website.
One last note — I don't want my over excitement to overshadow the initial tweaking needed, but once over the hump… boy, what a game changer. If I remember correctly, I initially bought 350 credits, then 800, then another 800. I didn't notice there was a cheaper 2,500-credit pack — had I seen it earlier it would have saved me about 48%. Have fun!
