Warning for Shopify store owners

My experience with Primy AI has been extremely disappointing.

I spent over 30 minutes building a form, only to have my account flagged and my form restricted. When I contacted support, I was asked questions about who my customers are and who I'm communicating with. I've used Shopify form builders for years and have never been asked for this kind of information.

The whole situation felt invasive and unnecessary for a simple form-building app. I couldn't find any clear explanation upfront about why this information was needed or why my account was flagged.

Maybe there's a legitimate reason for their review process, but the lack of transparency left me with serious concerns about privacy and how customer information is handled.

Based on my experience, I won't be using this app again and would recommend other Shopify users do their research before installing it.

Primy uses automated systems to detect unusual activity and protect merchants from spam, abuse, phishing attempts, and policy violations. In some cases, we may request additional information about a store’s intended use of the app before allowing forms to be published.

We do not request access to customer lists or private customer data. The questions asked by our team are solely intended to verify the nature of a store’s business and ensure compliance with Shopify’s policies and industry best practices.

We agree that we could do a better job of explaining this process before restrictions are applied, and we appreciate that feedback. Our team is reviewing ways to make the verification process more transparent and less disruptive.
