Stay Away From This App!! Reviews Published Without Approval
Proviews has become a serious risk for Shopify merchants. Their new AI moderation system can publish reviews on your own storefront without prior approval from the website owner, leaving merchants to chase support after unwanted content is already live. Their off topic review AI moderation is also a joke, with the system failing to properly separate product reviews from delivery issues, personal taste opinions, or other matters outside the merchant’s direct control.
Do not let them hide behind Google. Google Product Ratings may apply inside Google’s ecosystem, but that does not require Proviews to automatically publish reviews on a merchant’s own website. Other apps can manage Google compliant feeds while still allowing manual approval for website display.
Any review app that removes merchant approval over website publication is not fit for purpose. In the end, Proviews’ system publishes reviews on your website at its own discretion, without explicit permission from the website owner.

We would like to share that we have recently introduced an update to Proviews that gives merchants greater control over the reviews displayed on their storefront. You can now publish or unpublish individual reviews according to your preference, making it much easier to manage the review content that appears on your website.
This update is designed to give you the flexibility to curate your storefront reviews while continuing to benefit from Proviews' review management capabilities.
