Utter scam, I was on a free trial, uninstalled the app from Shopify, and was still charged third party despite never linking importing or using any reviews from this app. Now I've got bills to pay and I can't because money's being taken.

Unauthorized charges and refusal to refund $576. Extremely shady business practices. There is a note that I have been using the app for 2 years which is very untrue. I tried to add this app to my store on 05/28/2026, NOT two years ago. They took $576 from my bank account on 05/29/2026, NOT two years ago. I have refused their request to take down this review in exchange for a refund and now they are trying to justify why they charged me for two years of services when I only attempted to sign up on 05/28/2026 for one year of service AND they did not activate the service at all. I have written correspondence via email from their customer service agents (primarily Leah) showing proof of everything I have detailed in this review. Unfortunately, I cannot post pictures of their correspondence with this review.

06/24/2026: This app charged me $288 twice and did not activate the service. When I reached out to their customer service support email on 05/28/2026 because I could not import reviews, they responded that I needed to first pay for a subscription. They could not find an account linked to the two $288 payments that were withdrawn from my account. They eventually found the payments and said they have a no refund policy (even though they erroneously charged me an unauthorized $288). I was told that I could apply the unauthorized $288 to another website I have -- I'm not sure where they got that information from because I have not showed any interest in applying this app (that I still do not have access to) to any other website. Everytime I log on to the app, I am prompted to pay another subscription fee. I have tried to file a complaint with the BBB, but it seems this business does not exist. There's no such business as Innovation Labs, Inc; AI Reviews; or Reviews Pro (these are all names I have seen listed in their correspondence as well as in the app). I have reached out to them to provide me their legal business name, however, I often do not receive timely responses. It has been about a month since I initially reached out to them for a refund and they still have not issued me a refund even for the unauthorized charge due to their "no refund" policy.

UPDATE: 06/27/2026
I received an email from customer service for this app. I'm now being offered a full refund of both $288 charges, but am being asked to delete this review. Once deleted, they stated they will take a screenshot to show that the review has been deleted and will send this over to their finance team who then will "expedite" my refund request of the two charges within 24-48 hours. I declined the offer to "expedite" if I delete the review as this is incredibly shady/unethical and told them so. I don't think I will be getting a refund at this point, but I will provide updates should I receive one. Hopefully, they do the right thing.

UPDATE 07/01/2026: Customer service has not responded and I did notice they have added a note that I have been using the app for two years to this review. This is not true and they are trying to justify why I have been charged two years worth of fees. I tried to add the app to my store on 05/28/2026, so I attempted to pay the annual fee of $288. They charged me $288 twice on 05/29/2026 and did not activate the service. I have email threads in which I was shown they did not activate my account, but do have both of my payments. The fact that they are trying to discredit this review is very concerning.
UPDATE 07/02/2026: Utilized "Get Support" option through the main app page which to my understanding funnels through Shopify Support Center. Promptly received an email from Leah of customer service repeatedly asking to speak via telephone conversation regarding my refund and any unresolved issues. It seems we can no longer discuss my situation via email correspondence and she will not confirm when my refund will actually be completed.
UPDATE 07/08/2026: I have not received a response from Leah or customer service since I refused to "get on a call" with them to discuss the issue and there has been no refund. When I further researched, Innovation Labs, Inc is associated with AliDrop and AliExpress.
UPDATE 07/09/2026: I received an email from Leah of customer support that they will refund one of the $288 charges, but will not be refunding both charges as previously promised because I did not connect with her via phone call to go over "available options" to get both charges refunded. She again offered me a phone call and hopes that I've reconsidered her offer. My perception is that I will not be getting a refund at all unless I agree to talk to her over the phone and agree to delete this review. I am promised refunds, but no actual refund has been completed.

This app is very befuddling. It advertises a free option, but there isn't one. It also appears to have a bug, as it will not even let me uninstall without choosing a paid plan. Now I'm stuck looking at this widget on my admin page. It would be wonderful if it actually delivered what it advertises. I'll circle back around later to see if there are any improvements.
