Specfinder creates those fields, gets your values into them by spreadsheet or by hand, and derives filters from them. Numbers become ranges and you set no thresholds. Nine storefront blocks come with it, among them a specification table, a comparison and a compatibility picker. The fields are metafields in your own shop. They stay when the app goes.
