Stop checkout with a clear message when a product can't ship to the address a shopper entered.
Shopify can't limit a product by region. The usual workaround, removing a region from a shipping profile, leaves shoppers with "no shipping available" and no reason why. Set rules by product tag: block countries, states, postal codes, PO boxes, military addresses or parcel lockers. At checkout, shoppers see which item can't ship and what to do, right under the address field. Test any address against your catalog before shoppers do.
