Since Shopify search moved to semantic matching, stores selling by reference (auto parts, industrial supplies, electronics) can no longer find a product by SKU, barcode or part number: a precise query returns hundreds of unrelated items. MT: SKU & Part Number Search adds predictable matching to your existing search bar. An exact SKU, EAN/UPC or part number returns that product alone. Partial references and separators are handled. If the app is down, native search takes over.
