TelePing – Telegram Alerts

I used Teleping for Shopify specifically because it supported Telegram group notifications, which was one of its biggest advantages over other solutions.

Unfortunately, the recent changes to the free plan now restrict notifications to individual Telegram users only and no longer allow sending updates to Telegram groups. For many merchants, this removes the main reason for using the app in the first place.

What's frustrating is that Telegram notifications can easily be implemented using Telegram bots, Shopify webhooks, and modern AI tools in just a few minutes, with no ongoing subscription fees and complete flexibility. Because of that, it's difficult to justify paying for functionality that used to be available and can now be replicated for free forever.

I appreciate the app's simplicity and the work behind it, but this change significantly reduced its value for small businesses and merchants relying on team notifications through Telegram groups. I hope the developers reconsider this decision.
