Vietnam merged 63 provinces into 34 on 1 July 2025. Let buyers confirm the new ward themselves.

On 1 July 2025 Vietnam replaced 63 provinces with 34 and removed the district level. Addresses typed at checkout still use old districts and wards, so merchants rewrite them by hand. The app reads the checkout address, matches it to the new province and ward, and shows the result on the Thank you page. The buyer confirms it or picks another ward. Only that confirmation saves the address to the order. The shipping address typed at checkout is never changed, and no buyer data is stored.
