I honestly did not know technology could do this type of stuff. I mean, I know cars can almost drive themselves now, but customizing the Shopify CMS has always seemed to require many hours and code and sweat and stress... and then it all breaks. Airfields has made creating and updating complex site customizations SO MUCH EASIER.

This app has been incredibly helpful for organizing all of our custom theme's various metafield sections - at the product level, and at the collection level. It's also allowed us to work with our developer team to build out dynamic experiences like product bundles and cart upsells. The interface is simple to use and understand, and it has allowed us to quickly and easily make changes to our website!

When Shopify reduced the section block limit in themes from 250 to 16, I needed to find a way to build a comprehensive ingredients section that was easy to use. We almost outsourced an app when I happened upon this, seemingly the only app to include something they call a "repeater" meta. Highly recommend! Two things I wish this app did:
1) Allow the image meta to be a complete or similar object type to a traditional Shopify image object. Complete with attributes to the image.
2) Upload to admin. It's possible to upload files to admin using GraphQL, and I'm worried someone on our team may accidentally delete the theme file that hosts our images.

Heavy using this app for several months now and its very good and helpful. Few observations:

1) Be careful with variable types. When you create some type like boolean and import boolean values to it. When Airfields opens and saves it its suddenly string type with "true/false" value in it. Its a problem because all other values are still boolean.

2) When you have Variant metafield you cant access it when you have product with only one variant. I think there should be both options in the menu "Edit product metafields" and "Edit variant metafields" just like Shopify does it with regular fields.

TIP: Its useful to create Shopify definition for Airfields metafields. So they are accessible directly from product detail. Its not possible with all types though.

All in all we ended up using regular metafields if we can because of that.
