BoomGate: Checkout Validation

I rarely leave reviews, but this app and the team behind it truly deserve it.

I needed a very specific checkout validation for the xConnector integration and Cargus pickup points in my Shopify store. The team implemented the update I needed, and their AI Assistant helped me build the validation rules step by step. During testing we discovered a few edge cases, and together we managed to solve them.

What impressed me the most was their responsiveness and genuine willingness to help. They listened to my feedback, suggested different approaches, and helped me find the best solution for my specific use case.

Excellent support, a powerful app, and a team that genuinely cares about solving customers' problems. Highly recommended!

I just installed this app to protect against really annoying orders from stolen credit card testing fraudsters which have started coming through recently.

Because we only need one validation to protect us completely from this scam we are on the free plan - hence I though it only fair to write a 5-star review.

It works beautifully, the AI got the rule right first time and all tested - flawless. Interestingly the app was recommended by Claude. And now by Oui Chef;)

We use BoomGate to control exactly which orders can pass checkout, and it’s been excellent so far! The rules builder handles real‑world cases like min/max quantities, customer tags, and product restrictions without slowing checkout. The interface is clear, error messages are easy to customize, and support is fast and genuinely helpful. Highly recommended.

I have tried EVERY SINGLE ZIP VALIDATOR APP and this is the only one that can block a purchase based on more than one condition (and at a reasonable rate too!) We've had customers using the wrong zip codes to hack lower delivery fees for Local Delivery and this app just saved our butts!

J'ai crée une véritable usine à gaz avec un configurateur de produits fait par moi-même mais j'avais des soucis de choix d'options dans le checkout. En effet, je ne voulais pas que les clients puissent acheter des produits en plus sans que cela ne modifie le prix. J'ai donc crée des règles applicables au checkout grâce à l'IA de BoomGate. Bon évidemment, j'ai mal renseigné un des tags (je ne le savais pas) et cela ne fonctionnait pas. Du coup, j'ai eu Mat par échange de mails et il a rapidement trouvé ce qui clochait. Et tout fonctionne à merveille. Les règles que j'ai déterminées s'appliquent et empêchent le client de passer une commande non conforme. Je suis plus que ravie et recommande chaudement cette application. Une vraie pépite ! Encore merci Mat !

Amazing app! needed an app that prevent customers from order products that aren't allowed to ship to California, in checkout if customer added CA as shipping state, they are getting a msg saying they have to remove that item. But still let them order the rest. App has Lots of helpful options. Recommended 100%

Simple and easy workflow setup! This app was able to do everything we needed for our custom checkout process to ensure we stayed in compliance with merchant processors.

Support is also very quick to resolve any issues and Mat was a big help!

We are using this to limit the length of the "Company" field in the Checkout - works well! :) It only runs the validation asynchronously whenever the shipping address is complete though - if I could wish for one thing it would be a more snappy UX (e.g. just limiting the `max` of the HTML input directly)

Definitely recommend this app! It's very easy to use and the UI is straight forward and clear.

Our main use case was leveraging customizations we previously used on checkout.liquid, now in Checkout Extensibility.

The developer for this app is super responsive and helpful - he helped set up our customizations and ensure everything worked correctly before we launched on Checkout Extensibility. Now that we saw how easy it is to use, we'll likely add some more customizations for ourselves.
