The connection between shopify and cin7 is riddled with issues. The system cannot deal with exhanges and cin7 refuse to consider this an essential retail practice.
Hello - thank you for sharing this with our team. We're disappointed to hear this has been your experience, and we'd like to make it right. Can you reach out to our team's escalated support email, feedback@cin7.com, so we can talk this through with you? We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Had a horrible experience trying to implement CIN7 to my business, we had minimal requirements, we are not a complicated set!
Dealing with a third party implementor cin7 forced us to use but then have not accepted any responsibility when they have not been able to deliver the functionality promised to us yet we are out of pocket tens of thousands of $. I would strongly suggest to do your own research and ask them to prove functionality before you pay a cent as once you're signed up and paid the salesman disappears and they lose all enthusiasm to make it work - horrible experience for us.
Well Cin7 asked for a review, my guess is that they may stop asking based on the rating they have here. I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this platform to any e-commerce business that has a multi-channel distribution (which they claim to support). We have been in business for 10 years on ecomm and I can say this is the WORST investment of time, energy, and money I have ever made. The tech issues related to this platform are plentiful, we have open "tickets" for over a year. Their customer service barely fixes a problem as we always here "hum, this isn't happening to any one else" and then they just ignore it. They were built with people who must have never worked in this industry or have any product or supply chain experience, and everything takes way too many clicks. We are on a total time and attention burn with this platform, and the systems they say work don't ever work in the real world. I would highly recommend doing hours of due diligence on this platform before actually hoping in, and make sure you have a full-time data person on the team to deal with all the extra man-hours it takes to finish tasks. You may be asking "why would you stay" the sad news is there are not many options out there, so we remain with the devil we know, I just try to save future founders/small ecomm businesses to not waste their time and find a different solution.
Theoretically a good service, except it breaks frequently. Randomly it won't push inventory to Shopify or Amazon.
Most frustrating of all is the "customer service"... it takes 36 or more hours to hear back... if they reply to a ticket. A couple years ago they had live chat, but took that away.
The last problem is the onboarding process. It is about a 3 hour process, but they drag it into a 4 week ordeal (one call per week), so that you're so time invested in the process that backing out is too much hassle. And they charge you the $500+ monthly fee for that month too.
Horrible. Cin7 today (6/6/2023) enacted a policy where data from our wholesale (not personal) Shopify channels is deleted after 30 days without so much as a heads up. This means that for a software that is quite literally the core of our business, Sales Invoices are gone, CRM data has disappeared, and the support team is blaming Shopify, but Shopify has no knowledge of what Cin7 enacted or why. Not only is this infuriating that they can "play" with data with such a blatant disregard, but can top that with pointing the finger at someone else, is one of the most inept things I've ever seen.
Terrible customer service. Look for another provider.
Just like other reviewers, we've waited weeks or months for a simple response, some of them being critical. Furthermore, we've had to look at alternative solutions for 3PL implementation, and we were still charged for the implementation fee, despite cancelling the deployment after 3 months of waiting. Looking for a refund now, which no one, CS or accounts have responded to as of yet. Look elsewhere.
Long time cin7 user - these past 5 months have been an absolute nightmare. Technical problems such as not being able to update prices without the app deleting your own variants! Not being able to remap and add new variants, not being able to update stock. Absolutely got not no business being on this app store. They cannot perform the bare minimum for inventory control without having a huge down time of weeks to months.
Absolutely the worst customer service of any software we have ever worked with. They will keep blaming you, not respond to any support tickets and you will end up paying thousands of dollars and spend months in implementation for an inaccurate software. They have so many integration issues/bugs and it's way too complicated for a small-medium size business. Because of the software's issues we had delayed shipments on Amazon and Shopify which caused our account health to drop and made for angry customers. It simply won't sync the orders correctly and they will keep saying it's your fault for not reviewing their "academy" videos which is just ridiculous to ask that after we paid $1,500 for implementation. So mad that we chose to go with this software and will strongly advise you to look for other alternatives. This will NOT make your life easier at all. Quite the opposite. I had high hopes but I cancelled the subscription (which was a process as well) one month after going live and after spending 4 months in implementation. Save your time and money.
The CIN7 app has lacked the feature of importing Shopify order tags for over 4 years, which is quite frustrating for users who rely on these tags to categorize orders and run reports. They have no plans to implement this in the future and without this feature, it becomes impossible to track orders with specific tags or run reports based on these tags. Even worse, the app does not provide any option to view tags within CIN7, which adds to the inconvenience. Given the high cost of the app, it is surprising that such a basic feature is missing. It would be great if the developers could address this issue and introduce this feature in the app to make it more user-friendly and efficient. Overall, while the app has its benefits, this missing feature is a significant drawback for users who depend on Shopify order tags.
Difficult to implement, not intuitive or user-friendly at all. We paid thousands for onboarding, which they were not able to provide as we discovered we would need to make extensive time-consuming updates to our products within Shopify before we could even import them into Cin7 - this was not evident before we signed up. Cin7 responded to this by pointing out that we're contractually obliged to keep paying them whether we're using the software or not (we never started using it, as we couldn't onboard our data) and they refused any sort of refund or concession. They could not care less about customers. There are far better apps which integrate seamlessly with Shopify for far less money. I greatly regret wasting money on Cin7.
