When the application works, it works great. The only issue I have with the application itself is that it calculates the fee before tax, and my merchant charges us after tax.
There have been times when the system goes down. It can be frustrating, but usually it only takes contacting the help center and they are quick to investigate and fix the problem.

Hello! Thank you so much for your feedback! Unfortunately, sometimes Shopify POS may not work because of problems on the Shopify servers, and our app becomes unavailable too :(

As for the fee calculation, yes, it’s one of the current technical limitations There is no way to put it after the tax, so we await the next Shopify POS updates that bring such an option to implement other fee types. And, your review helps us to prove to Shopify that merchants really need such fees. Thanks again!

I would love to give this app 5 stars but the app was working just fine and doing exactly what I needed it to do last week but now today it is not working at all. I have reached out to get support but am losing money with every transaction since I cannot add the proper fees.

Hello! Sorry for the issue you faced recently. Many Shopify apps were affected by the latest Shopify POS update, including ours. Could you please check your spam folder? We tried to reply to you ASAP, maybe our mail went to spam.

Now, Shopify POS started working correctly with third-party apps and we want to check if it also started working for you.

Sorry again for that situation, we are trying to do as many as possible. I hope it won’t happen again.

Giving it 5 stars because it's the only method that works that we've tried so far, to add credit card fees on POS. Yes we would also love it if it were automatic -- if the person working the checkout forgets to push the button, we just have to eat that fee. But the developer has stated they can't do that because Shopify has to update/change something first. Also noting that we ONLY use POS so I'm not sure what we would do if we were to need this with a "regular" ecommerce website.

Thank you so much for your review! Yes, we really look forward to today’s restrictions being removed in future versions of Shopify POS. We will definitely implement the automatic fee-applying feature as soon as it becomes technically possible.

This app does not support my needs and is the only one even close. We need to set up a custom tax and this app you still have to add it each time to cart and it shows up very strangely on the receipt. No one from customer service has responded to me.

Today Shopify POS has technical limitations on such functionality. We will add this ability as soon as it becomes possible.

App does work as required - adds percentage based surcharge to POS checkouts. However it is not able to calculate a surcharge at any point of adding items to the checkout (only at the end). Lastly, the time taken to apply the surcharge to the checkout is far too long (as long as 20 seconds).

I'm not sure of the math on that but in a 6-8 our working day serving customers at the POS, were losing lots of sales time in waiting for a surcharge to apply.

Hello. Yes, you are right. Our app tries to imitate fees by adding custom items to your cart. Unfortunately, today there is no technical ability to add them differently on Shopify POS. We know it's a huge limitation, and we'd love to change this when technically possible.

As for loading. Yes. It's another technical limitation we are fighting today. All third-party apps on Shopify POS are websites. So, to apply fees, you need to download the app from the web every time. I know it sounds terrible, but there is no way to download it to use offline. We hope it will change one day. Unfortunately, we can't influence it in any way today. :(
