GiftKart: Cashback & Gift Card

This app is very useful for creating cash back and other digital credit store. It works very well with Klaviyo once you setup the right flow to send the giftkart credit and the reminder. It became a key pillar of our loyalty program and our customers just love it. We are on the Plus plan to enable the Klaviyo connection which is absolutely crucial to make the full process work seamlessly. Definitely recommended if you are serious about serving your customers with cash back type of offers.

The app generally seems like it'd be useful if you want the full range of features, but I only tested the personalized video message as that was 1 of 2 primary features we were looking for.

I really wanted this to work but the personalized video gift messaging experience basically doesn't work on mobile devices (for the gift receiver), which effectively makes this feature useless. As implemented, it's shameful to even promote this as a working feature in the listing. If you open this the gift card page on a mobile browser, you can't actually play the video and you need to download the video to your phone- and even then I wasn't able to open/watch it during testing. This means that 90%+ of gift receivers would likely never even watch the video message recorded for them by the sender. Another nit is that the gift card page editor doesn't treat image sizes properly and distorts the aspect ratio even when providing the "ideal" image resolution as suggested.

When I contacted developer about the video play issue they cited browser limitations, but there are other apps that offer QR-code based personalized video messages that certainly don't suffer from this debilitating limitation. More likely poor feature design.

Used this app for Gift Wrap & Gift boxes. love it, simple to use and could make it work just I wanted to. Got quick support for a small issue I had. Thank you for creating this app.

We really appreciate the functionality that GiftKart provides for our shop. The functionality to schedule or even just send a gift card to a specified recipient really should be a basic functionality included in Shopify. Sid has also been a joy to work with, very friendly and extremely quick to help out if we have any questions or need any additional functionality built into the app.

I will say that the app does seem to always be rapidly changing. This is impressive and we are happy that we continue to get even more value with our subscription, but I do also worry a bit that something will break with how rapidly things are updated.

That said, so far it has worked consistently and without issue. I would absolutely recommend GiftKart to anyone who needs a better gift card experience than what Shopify provides.
