I installed this app, put a tag to my name and logged in to the account with my email-address and password. I tried to order a book with discount, but it offers me only the full price. No discount is seen.

Please DO NOT download this app. I uninstalled it and now none of my product pages work. I would avoid at all costs. Honestly.
Please reinstall, and click “More actions” > “Remove from store” before uninstalling. You won’t be billed for reinstalling. We’ve reached out via our customer support to see if you need any help.
We also sent you an email with these instructions when you uninstalled, just search for the subject “IMPORTANT: Uninstall MagicPass” for more Information.

Says $5/month but when I tried to download it only offers $99/month. Quite a difference in fees. That coupled with complaints about a 1 day trial, I'm not going to risk it.
Instalé la aplicación para probarla y debido a que no cumplía con mis expectativas la desinstalé. Luego de hacerlo me enviaron un mail diciéndome que, para que quedara bien la desinstalación, debía volver a instalarla y me enviaron instrucciones de la desinstalación manual. Seguí todas las instrucciones, que incluyeron borrar archivos y datos del código, como el archivo: snippets/password-protect.liquid. Me enviaron todo eso en una guía en este link: https://passwordprotectedpages.upsell-apps.com/help/uninstall?utm_swu=9692 Eso generó ahora un problema en mi página, pues ahora no puedo hacer uso de contraseñas en la Configuración del tema de la página, por que al haber borrado ese archivo, como ellos me dijeron, ahora mi página arroja el siguiente error: Liquid error: Could not find asset snippets/password-protect.liquid Les envié un mensaje a su soporte y van un par de días que no recibo respuesta ni solución a este error que por instrucciones de ellos se dió. Ojalá me ayuden a resolver pronto el problema, por el momento no la recomiendo. ACTULIZACIÓN 8-NOV-2021 Luego de que puse mi reseña me enviaron un mail para ofrecerme solución. Me pidieron volver a instalar la aplicación y ellos se encargarían de corregir. Al hacerlo mi página se pudo volver a ver y borré la aplicación luego de que me contestaron que ya estaba todo en órden. Agradezco la atención pues finalmente se pudo resolver mi problema. Gracias!
Had issues with the discount not working, contacted customer service several times with no response. Be prepared when you uninstall this app to go through pages of code to remove their CSS. super annoying. Do not recommend.

I love how the app was easy to set up and protect the collection I wanted for my Tshirt party; however, the discount is not being applied when customers enter the protected page. I did a test run and also tried manually entering the code at checkout without success. I hope someone can help me resolve this issue. Thank you.
I removed the app from my store and now all of the pages are blocked. I am missing business because my pages are all blocked and customer orders. I did remove the app as they asked and I'm still having issues. I haven't heard anything from them and it has been two days.

Not good. Impossible to uninstall, makes your webshop lock so customers cant purchase without uninstalling the app which you have to program. Not a good app - stay away.
Hi, I'm sorry you had a negative experience with MagicPass. Unfortunately once the app is uninstalled we lose the necessary permissions to undo our theme changes (which are required for password protection).
We built an automated tool to make this process pain-free. Please reinstall the app (you won't be billed), then click More Actions > Remove from Store. Then uninstall the app again, and that's it!
If you prefer, we also email you a set of detailed instructions when you uninstall. Just search for the subject:
"IMPORTANT: UNINSTALL MAGICPASS."

App did not work on my store at all. Trued adding a password and adding tags neither option worked. Really wanted to like this app but did not.

I used this app to create a wholesale portal on my Shopify website. It allowed me to password protect my wholesale page and provided the signup form. Super easy.
Very easy to use combined with my shopify account. Great for store owners who want to offer wholesale to other business owners.

Works pretty well, there is an issue that needs to be resolved. Products marked "wholesale" will still show up in the "collections/all " listing.

Hi there, the "All" collection is built in to Shopify, but you can override it by creating a new, manual collection named "All", with only the products you want to display. I hope that helps!

I used this app to set up wholesale pricing in my Shopify store and it works like a dream! I love how I can choose between passwords or individual account access. It has made running that side of my business that much easier!
Way too basic to charge $5/mth. I would be happy to pay if I had the ability to edit the password page.
We do support most modifications to the password page. Just check the box "display message as HTML" then you can enter HTML (including CSS or JavaScript) directly into the message field. If you have any problem making major changes please reach out and we'll try to find a solution. Thanks!

Exactly What I was looking for! I am able to make customer collections and passcode them. Great app.
So far it seems to work well, very simple and basic. I haven't used it much yet but for the simple purpose I need it for, I think it's good.
its has lock up our site and not you have to remove all the code to fix what a load of ???????????????

Just re-install the app and click "More actions" > "Remove MagicPass from store". You won't be charged for re-installing. Hope that helps!

Our store uses Magic Pass to lock content from customers that are not members of our Exclusive Membership Club. It's great for low volume businesses, but most likely won't work for us when we bring in large groups of customers.
We recently added tag-based rules (e.g. grant access to customers tagged with "wholesale"), which we believe will scale much better to large groups of customers. We want to support sites of all sizes so please give it a shot and let us know what you think!
I use this app to protect specific collections & VIP section. It works like a charm! The only downside is that to remove one password protected area, you have to delete all password protected areas and then put them back. All in all, I’m loving this app! I recommend it!
Thanks so much! Note, rather than use "More actions" > "Delete all passwords", you can click the password you would like to delete then scroll down and click "Delete this password." That way you don't need to re-create all your passwords, which I'm sure is a lot of work! Thanks again.
MAGICPASS HAS REALLY HELPED MY STORE. I LOVE THE IDEA OF LOCKING CERTAIN CONTENT AND ONLY BEING ABLE TO BE VIEWABLE BY CERTAIN PEOPLE.

Very awesome. I needed a way to offer my influencers certain products and discounts without compromising the rest of my site. I am very pleased with MagicPass.
We needed a way to lock down pages. Amazingly no other app can do this. We asked for the feature to be added and within a couple days it was done. Problem solved! Thank you MagicPass.
