I have removed this app and still (two months) getting billed 89 a month. I need this to stop or I will shut down the site completely.

Do not get the POS if you run anything more than a coffee shop. We have Shopify Online and it's great. We did the full onboarding, full training. All our staff to come to find out the sales girl for shopify POS was straight lying about it capabilities. Elana Baum. Who still won't return my emails. Shopify POS literally can't do anything without APPs which are extremely expensive per month. Even the apps are terrible. If they are under 200.00 a month don't waste your time. That's right. Soooo expensive. Shopify POS cant do the following= Layaways, Special Orders, dropships, store credit managment, customer account managment, staff sales and commission, Barcode creation with print list. When you get inventory in, you have to manually go in and print each tag even after you have submitted the entire purchase order. REALLY? the real meaning of POS. What a waste of time and a huge amount of money. Now we are all fixing the inventory one by one. GO use Lightspeed with all the capabilities and cheaper CC rates.

Unable to add variable priced products or sell products by unit of measurement, slow, clunky - much much better POS options out there.

If I could give this zero stars, I really would. It's a shame to give this terrible mistake of a Point of Sale even 1 star. We were using quickbooks POS without any problems, then we were recommended to Shopify, and wow, what a let down. The e-commerce is fine, however, if you own a brick and mortar DO NOT USE THIS!!! It is incredibly limited in it applications and you have the mind-numbing pleasure of learning with the Shopify team on the shortcomings - which means the solution is a third party app that costs anywhere from $5-$20/month.

We followed the steps of setting up card reader. We paired with one device, worked one time. We have been desperately trying to get it to work by following the troubleshooting steps to no avail. We have contacted the hardware-store@ and have gotten the run around, where told there is a firm 30 day refund policy. Not only is it disappointing to have a faulty device but to also receive bad customer service makes it extra painful. Shopify already charges an arm and a leg. Feel insulted at this point.

The worst experience using Shopify POS. I use it for EVENTS in all different locations in the US. I am using Chipper 2X BT and this is the advanced one with no capability of capturing customer signature and also does not automatically capture key information like name THEREFORE, the customer can just say item not bought after buying it and then dispute it later. Plus for the charge back WE HAVE TO PROVIDE EVIDENCE which the system does not capture. So good luck with dealing with all the FRAUD that happens. Shopify will reimburse the customer without a word with the business owner plus take an additional fee for it.
Now I am left with dealing with getting information on a POS direct sale without any help.

Good luck trying to uninstall it once you add it. We uninstalled the app, but they still keep charging us $89 per month. We tried to follow the instructions to downgrade, but we only get a server error message in the app now. No support.

Leider gibt es immer wieder gravierende Probleme und der support ist sehr sehr schlecht: Es gibt keinen Support per Telefon oder Email, nur Chat, das dauert sehr lange, ist sehr aufwändig und die meisten dort haben keine Ahnung von der POS App. Viele Probleme sind seit langem ungelöst. Dazu gehört: immer wieder fehlen wichtige Angaben auf dem Kassenbon (qr code für TSE), es fehlen Artikel im Warenkorb (neuester bug), bei Abholung online bestellter Ware (click and collect) funktioniert in der app nur Barzahlung - wenn Kunden online Vorkasse gewählt haben, dann im Laden bei Abholung mit Karte zahlen wollen, kann man nur im Admin auf bezahlt stelllen - die Mitarbeiter im Laden können das aber nicht.. Weiteres Problem: wenn waren per Karte bezahlt wurde und dann zurückgegeben werden, kann ich nicht Barzahlung wählen zur Rückgabe, sondern nur Kartenzahlung. Mein Gerät kann aber keine Rückzahlung per Karte machen.. Dann stimmt am Ende des Tages die Kasse immer nicht. Also einige Probleme, aber KEIN Support...

I have mixed feelings about this application. On one hand, I think it really does work great. Reporting is sub-optimal, especially the tax reporting (as mentioned by others) and the hardware isn't great. But they are releasing brand new readers this year that will hopefully fix the hardware specifically. Other than those issues, I find it an amazing hub for retail businesses. If you're selling a product in-store that you cannot sell online, in general Shopfy is probably not right for your business.

THE BIG ISSUE - As others have mentioned, the pricing scheme is absolutely ridiculous. I almost gave this a 2-Star rating and that is entirely due to the inability for feasible scaling. "Lite" is great for on-boarding and testing the waters, but there are a number of features that are essential to an ecommerce-centric platform (like "In-Store Pickup Management") which are placed behind a paywall. This paywall is STEEP. For a lot of small businesses, all of the extra reporting features and staff management are not necessary. This leaves the small business owner considering an $89.00/mo fee for nothing more than allowing customers to order online and pick up in store. It is an unbelievably stupid (for lack of a better word) model and I would love to see Shopify remedy this with an in-between scaling option.
