We were looking at building a product that does something similar to this. This takes a lot of the leg work out of price scanning competitors. Takes a bit of configuring to get the most out of it but well worth it.

One of the main benefits is once all your products are uploaded, the app brings all the competitors to you rather than having to manually find and input. You can also fine tune by manually uploading competitors so you get the best of both worlds. You need to spend a bit of time to tidy up the data of what you don't need, but this is to be expected. Great software, really easy to use and great support. We were tracking prices on a spreadsheet in a limited way and it was incredibly labour intensive so we only could do it 1-2 times a month. Now we can monitor all our competitors, when they move, who did first, and then make better decisions on our own pricing
