Unfortunately I need to change my review from 5 Star to 1 Star. Ill start by saying I used this app for almost 2 years and it seemed like a great app. I was one of the first adopters of this app before it even had paid versions. Being one of the first adopters I was given the opportunity to be on the top plan for very cheap. I feel bad for stores that are paying full price for this app as it is riddled with bugs that the tech team cannot fix. I asked for months to get these resolved through their tech team to no avail. I was lied to and stuck around with the app based on promises that never happened.
If you run a multi currency store DO NOT US THIS APP. The price of add-on items in carts DOES NOT, I REPEAT DOES NOT UPDATE. I had customers being over charged and undercharged based on this bug. If you use a SHOP pay button on your product pages DO NOT USE THIS APP. Your customers will not receive an Order Confirmation email with no way to send one after the order is placed. There are plenty more bugs but we will be here for days if I list them all. I was told over and over again that those bugs couldn't be fixed because of how "Shopify Works". They said Shopify needs to change something with its code for it work and there was nothing they could do, this was a lie. Iv changed options apps (shout out Easify) which do both these things perfect. This app needs to be completely rewritten to work with the direction Shopify has taken their code. The support team is good but the tech team is not. They will riddle your code with band-aid fixes and pretend they solved your issue. For example they just made it so carts clear if you change currency when I brought up this issue. They told me they "fixed" the currency issue but if you went to the checkout page and changed currency the add-on prices would still not update. Great fix by the OPTIS tech team, NOT. There are much better apps out there for way cheaper. DO NOT waste your time with this broken app.
Update on 02/26/2025:
We’d like to provide an update regarding the recent issues you mentioned:
1. Multi-currency add-on price not updating in cart:
This issue has now been fully resolved. Add-on prices are correctly converted and updated across all Shopify Markets - even when options are already added to cart. The total price now reflects the correct converted amount consistently for multi-market stores.
2. Shop Pay not sending order confirmation email:
We escalated this again to Shopify, and they confirmed it was an issue on their end. Shopify has since fixed it. Order confirmation emails should now send correctly regardless of whether customers use Add to Cart, Buy It Now, or Shop Pay.
We completely acknowledge the frustration you experienced, and as part of resolving the situation, we had already issued a refund.
