I think Shopify Collective is a great idea for helping merchants grow by partnering with trusted brands and expanding their product offerings without holding inventory. The platform has a lot of potential, and I appreciate Shopify's commitment to maintaining a secure marketplace.
My experience has been mixed because my store was targeted by a coordinated carding attack shortly after launching. Although the fraudulent activity was outside of my control, I acted immediately by canceling and refunding every suspicious order before fulfillment. I also enabled AVS and CVV verification, activated Beacon Fraud Prevention, preserved documentation, and worked with Shopify Support to request a manual review. Since then, I have not had any high-risk orders.
I would love to see more transparency during the Shopify Collective review process, including clearer communication about eligibility decisions and manual reviews. Overall, I remain optimistic about the platform and hope to join Shopify Collective once my review is complete.
